The book is very detailed and easy to understand. The chapters are organized in a very comprehensive way, and each topic is given a very thorough explanation. On the whole, the book is very well written, and should be very useful to everyone in this field.

Very outdated on lipids and cholesterol causing heart disease.
As a newly, evolving functional medicine physician after 43 years in medicine, I was deeply disappointed to see a newly written textbook still clinging to the “cholesterol causes heart disease” myth. Anyone interested in up to date lipid information should read the works of Dr. William Davis and Dr. Mark Hyman where they quote many, many studies that prove the myth wrong. One of the better text books on Nutritional BioChem
very well written book. The chapters are organized systematically and each chapter builds up the basic concepts and then talks about the advanced concepts. The boxes provide interesting facts. The figures and concept maps add a lot of value to the book. This is something that will be useful to teachers, students and researchers alike across various disciplines.
