It works!
The media could not be loaded. I was initially sceptical when I saw this. Quality is not amazing. I was initially disappointed to see soscratches on the mirror. I later realized that there was a protective mask that had to be removed. After figuring out how to aim it, I was impressed by its effectiveness. I tested it from a distance of about 1.2 km and the flashes of light were easily visible. The compass and whistle also work. As I said, there were many scratches on the mirror and aiming hole. Makes it difficult to see your target. However, with some practice it is quite effective. The trick is to learn how to aim it properly. You will see a projection of the sun in the viewing hole which is used for accurate aiming. In the video, I had not removed the protective mask. I'm sure the performance would be much better without it.

Not functional!
Eye hole not clear.. many scratches hence blurry. Compass doesn't work. Whistle doesn't work. Can use ordinary cheap mirror for this.
