Great board, but no grip. Shoes make it fun for kids.
I bought this as a Christmas present for a 12-year-old along with a Tech Deck set and he really enjoyed it. The shoes are something new that I didn't have when I was playing with fingerboards as a kid, and I think they're great for kids who want to jump right into the tricks. The grip tape is almost nonexistent, and it's hard to get this board in the air so it's good that the shoes can help with that.Without the toy shoes, this would be a 2-star or a 3-star because of the grip tape, but the shoes and the Tony Hawk graphic manage to save this toy from a bad experience.

Bought by mistake
Picture showed a Hot Wheels car, but got this skateboard instead. Partially my fault for not reading description closer. Other than that, nice looking design for skateboard fans. Another quality Hot Wheels product!
