No issues upgrading from an older mesh network.
I bought my first Orbi mesh network 7 years ago, and I have started noticing connection problems so I decided for a replacement. Another Orbi, opened the box, downloaded the app, and installed the router + 2 satellites. No issues! As I used the same network ID as the old router, and same password all WiFi devices connected without any glitch. Happy with the new network.

Be Careful with Like New
Be careful with the like new items. Mine was already registered by a previous customer and that voided the warranty. Would be nice of Amazon to inform the customer of this and Netgear would not honor my receipt as proof of purchase. It's already hooked up with some help from Netgear technical support because it was previously registered and it works great. To lazy to hook up a new one, so I kept it.

Worst Product Purchase 2024...By Far!
The worst product I purchased in 2024. While the coverage was decent when it worked, it was completely unreliable. Setup not as easy as others. In the first month, unstable, it disconnected multiple times in my 5,000-square-foot home, to be fair, a couple were weather related. The issue was not only that it disconnected but that it wouldn't regain a connection without hours of attention. I had to call their help desk repeatedly and even purchase a year-long support package. Every time it disconnected, I had to go through a tedious reset process involving their portal, DNS changes, and other technical steps I didn’t care to learn about. One time, I spent 12 hours on the phone just to restore my internet—not just the Orbi extenders, but my entire internet connection was affected due to the changes recommendedby the "help" desk. I own Arlo cameras, which have been flawless for over five years, but these Orbis were a nightmare. Unfortunately, I missed the 30-day return window by a week, so I am stuck with $400 worth of oversized paperweights.I eventually switched to Eeros and couldn’t be happier. Even after power outages, the internet and all my smart devices—Samsung Hub, Amazon Alexas, Arlo cameras, Google Nest cameras, Ecobee thermostats, lights, and plugs—reconnect seamlessly when the power is restored. I would never recommend this version of the Orbi extender to anyone.

Finally WiFi throughout the entire house.
I guarantee you that your router isn't performing the way your company promised when the sells pitch was over. Been there done that, we have a rather large home, more than 3,500 square feet and another 1,200 pool and concrete desk area. I don't care which company we were with and all the bells and whistles plus a multitude of promises, we just never had the coverage or guarantees promised. I finally started doing a bit of my own research and calling or stopping by every electronic store in the city and asking questions and normally got the store sells pitch or BS finger pointing exercise. But, when I started talking with the tech/installer people, one name kept coming up for a powerful solution and extender. Best part of my research was that I didn't need the most expensive router aka extender/boaster and could purchase one that covered well over my entire house and property and at a price that didn't require me going into debt for something I truly didn't need. There's three or four models to choose from and I selected the one that covers 5,800 square feet and it covers every inch of my property plus some and max bars even at the maximum range. Now for the best part of this, I'm no techy nerd and have had to give up and hire someone to finally do what I couldn't accomplish when it came to hooking something up. Setting these two extenders up was so simple that I disconnected them and asked the wife to follow the instructions and see if she could do it. Yep, she did it on the first try. Finally we have full WiFi throughout the entire house and across the entire property. If you are considering these extenders, do Not purchase the three extenders just because you "think" you'll need or absolutely have to have the extra power, because surprisingly you'll have more than you'll ever need with two. Additionally, you can always purchase the third one later if you really need to, but doubtfully will have to. Another plus, no more having to give your WiFi password for friends or family when they visit, this device has a temporary password for your company.

Netgear Orbi: easy install, some problems through walls
There are so many ORBI options amongst the myriad of router / satellite options. My first issue was I filtered by stars on Amazon so was given a choice of a few. I cross referenced some options the cable and internet technician gave me, my friends recommendations, and my own research online. I believe I got a decent system but the price was higher than expected. Worst part of the process was a week later the price discounted 20%. Also when filtering by stars again on Amazon, I found a few more options from ORBI for some reason. In the end, it’s easy to install once you download the software, plug it in, and sync the system. Took an extra day for it to properly sync with my outdoor security cameras but overall this mesh network is a much better system than the router with external expanders. Speed has held in the 75 mbs range on the satellite and for the direct router its well over 225 mbs consistently. Wireless connectivity was achieved and that’s all you can ask for. I’ve heard there are security issues but so far so good.

Didn't even need the satelite
I owned an Orbi previously so knew what to expect in terms of range etc. What was a surprise is that with WiFi 6, did not even need the satellite. I sold the satellite on.. another site, and almost recouped the purchase price here at Amazon.

Best thing ever made, game changer
Finally a product I can say worth it…. Internet go better in area I really need for my security cameras, phones, tv in garage and when guest come over. WiFi speed stayed strong the whole time and I love the fact if I don’t know what’s hooked up to my WiFi I can shut it down anytime I want… my kids hate it, perfect when I need them off of the internet and around when I need them!! lol 😂
