Not bad
This was my first time doing them (after watching a lot of YouTube) and they turned out okay. I can’t speak on longevity because I just put them on. Also, I gave them one less star because my activator bottle feels empty, like I don’t have any product to apply to the nail. The package is supposed to be brand new, and I can hear a little liquid in it, but it takes a lot of work to get product. Also, the top coat brush clumped up before I was even done with this first time of doing my nails. I have the brush saver liquid so I will try that, but not overall satisfied with the liquid portion of these. Overall, would probably buy again for the price and ease of use, but surprised there are issues upon opening the box.

It's amazing.
I'm no professional, but this is amazing stuff. I honestly wished I wasn't so stubborn and researched this sooner, before wasting so much money at a salon. All my nails were long, but I had 2 cracked nails from cleaning out a vehicle, and I immediately went to this dip. I used a good dehydrating/cleaner to wipe the surface of nails, then lightly filed the surface for good tight adhesion, then finally finished with this process. It has saved my nails. Thickened & strengthened the surface. A good efile is needed, I got a Kupa. Now I can have the perfectly shaped nails I want, because I did that.I use a champagne color with sparkles, just because it's a neutral tone with shiny flecks. Every week or so when my nails need a touch up, I simply take my efile and clean up the cuticle and lightly roughen the surface of top coat, and I do a fill. As you would have done in a salon with acrylics. With the brush of base I get precise coverage where I need it, spot fill. The product is amazing but the pricing is reasonable, as compared to some other K.S. From what I've seen Azure Dip is just as compatible. Recommend this product 100%.

So far, so good...
I used the nail kit for the first time two days ago. At this time, I don't see any signs of chipping or peeling. My nails are strong and hard as if I have a thin layer of acrylic on top, which I like. My only issue is that my nailbed looks a little bit wider with the dip polish. It's not that noticeable, but noticeable to me. Maybe it's a first-time user error (i.e. I applied the base coat too close to my cuticles). I like this nail kit so much that I am considering purchasing a professional nail drill so that I can file my nails into a more natural shape when I use it again in the future. I am not sure how long it will last, but I can already tell that it will last longer than regular nail polish which is a win for me.11/12/22 UPDATE:The manicure lasted about a week for me. I never experienced chipping, but the edges around the cuticle started lifting. By Day 8, I could pretty much peel the polish off my nail which made soaking them off extremely easy. I was pretty hard on my nails though (chores, laundry, typing on the computer, hand washing, lifting weights/working out...etc.) and it lasted a week which is still longer than regular nail polish for me. I was so happy with the way my nails looked, I bought two more kits in different colors. (FYI I wasn't aware, but the powder kit comes in two different sizes.)

If I can do it, you can do it
So I get “dip powder” nails monthly. I work in healthcare so it has to be sheer and minimal. I’m fairly savvy when it comes to cosmetics. The first time with this kit was a little rough. The instructions definitely didn’t say anything about step 2 which is the “activator”. I figured out that must be the step before the gel. This stuff hardens like the dip you get at a salon. The gel clear coat does take some time to dry, def let it dry before touching or applying more coats! I made that mistake round 1. I have very uneven nails because I had been getting them done, so definitely file your newly grown nail to match thickness if you previously got them done. Don’t overdo the adhesive. If you get it anywhere except your nail and then dip, you’ll end up with sealed polish all over your fingers. Don’t overthink it. Dip your nails like you’re dipping your toes into a cold ocean. Don’t expect perfection on your first one or maybe four tries. Like I said, the second one made way more sense. I wasn’t sure how to remove the dip polish, I peeled the first round off in about 5 minutes but it didn’t chip until I tried to make it chip. Not sure if regular remover takes it off but you can chip and peel it. From what I could tell, it maybe took a layer of my nail? But nothing like acrylics. Highly recommend if you can do it yourself! Oh and do not use the brownish glitter polish if you get the natural kit unless you start with a different color. I haven’t tried to do a multi-dip yet! My thumbnail looks highly out of place!

Professional look
Okay, if you’ve never done dip powder nails before, remember less is more when applying liquid, be patient and watch some YouTube videos. My first attempt,, let’s say was less than desirable. My second attempt was better and my third attempt was pretty much like it was done at a nail salon. You don’t need an e-file unless you just want to use one.I dipped my natural nails which were short at the time, in a neutral color. Now my nails have grown out and I might go for a brighter summer color.REMOVAL of dip powder nails. I watched a video where you pour your acetone in a ziplock bag with a cotton ball and coconut oil or olive oil then put hot water in a bowl. Place your nails in baggie with acetone and place baggie in bowl of hot water. Rub your nails against the cotton ball.It only took about 10 minutes to remove each hand and my cuticles looked conditioned, not dried out.

Decent products, good starter set
The media could not be loaded. The set is a good jumping off point when you want to start doing your own nails. I will definitely replace base, activator and top coat with higher quality as they run out. But, the results are passable and saving me money on the nail salon. So I am happy!
