Works better then the vent mount that comes with the echo auto. It can mount on almost any dashboard surface that you would want to mount it. It has a very low profile which means it is way less distracting. Could be mounted even above the instrument cluster. When choosing a location to mount the echo auto don't forget to consider the necessary power cord and opinlonal auto if you plan to use it. There are many wire clips to keep them neet and even out of site. I would even say this is a necessary item for a long-term institution.

I purchased this to replace the original Echo Auto mount. The original would not stick to the surface in my car. This mount was perfect. I was able to mount it on a porous, vertical surface in my car with the standard adhesive mount - no need to use the 3M adhesive that was provided. It's been mounted for over a month now and with interior temperature reaching 121 degrees it has maintained it's grip. Completely impressed with this mount. Thanks!

Only reason its not a 5/5 stars is the cars design, i'm struggling on where i can mount it since my Cadillac has many hidden compartments and I need to be able to open them unimpeded. I am sure in most cars this is perfect.. it compact and works well, the magnet on it does hold the Alexa device pretty snug. As far as the product? it is good and does what it says it can do. I would for sure recommend this unless you like myself own a Cadillac SRX, then finding a place will be a challenge, IF I did have 1 recommendation? it would be to have the connections be longer so they do not look bad, My car plug is inside of my mid section and there's not a lot of give, this is why I can not just dash mount it, the wires are to short to stretch from my center console to the dash without causing a tension wire across my shoulder, again... that's the Car design, not a product issue...

My only issue is the magnets is not as strong as I thought it would be, other then that I like it

I have leather interior in my car and didn’t want to potentially ruin it by sticking anything to it. Additionally, I didn’t like the idea of having the cord hanging from the dash or car vent.I saw another reviewer’s photo where he placed this car mount on the plastic portion of the console. It works perfectly and minimizes the length of cord that is exposed. The blue light faces the driver so you can see it working.Very easy to install, took under a minute.

My vent mount would not work with my vents so I ordered this. It arrived on time and in good condition, and was as described. It holds my echo auto securely in place and allowed me to place my echo in a little cubby hole under my car stereo. The mounting location let me to make its presence in my car far less obvious. I is well worth the price, I’d buy this one again tho I doubt that will be necessary as it came with extra 3M tape should I need to relocate it in the event I get a new car stereo.

The kit that it came in was nice, it had everything that you needed to prep the surface. The adhesivenes isn't so great it's the winter and the base is already starting to come off. It will not last through the summer I fear. I will try a different product when this one comes off.

again, amazon on their weird "Features"I've been on android auto since the beta and I've never been happy with the vent mount that came with it.every time my GPS falls off the windshield it would take the auto with it... and of course it blocked up a good portion of my vent (vents are for air-flow, not for mounting)mounted this along the side of the instrument display and it's much more "natural" a place for it - I can hit the buttons without taking my hand off the steering wheel and I think it picks up my voice better. I ran my wires along the dash anyway, so it works much better for me here AND I don't cut off my air flow.

Poorly designed! HUGELY over priced. Extremely disappointed. Unfortunately no real choices for a stand for my Alexa auto devise
