Perfect for seedlings
Arrived as expected, works perfectly as advertised to support growth of seedlings. There is only one temperature - no temp adjustment feature but since I am a beginner, I did not require temperature adjustment or control. This seedling heating mat stays at the constant temperature that supports growth. It is waterproof as there were no issues with misting the seedlings. I am satisfied with the performance of this product and recommend it. Be advised that your pets may move in!

Seems to work perfectly. Quickly raised soil temp from 67°F to 80°F and maintains it.
I purchased the 48" x 20" mat: MET certified Seedling Heat Mat, Seedfactor Waterproof Durable Germination Station Heat Mat, Warm Hydroponic Heating Pad for Indoor Home Gardening Seed Starter(48" x 20"). It arrived quickly and in excellent condition. As expected, the mat was rolled up for packaging - it flattened out nicely after I let it heat itself up for about an hour.I have various varieties of tomato and pepper seeds that I've started in 4" square pots in my basement (plus a bunch of bare-root strawberries that the nursery decided to ship on April 2nd ... to Colorado ... where the general guideline for putting plants outdoors is Mother's Day). The pots are sitting in plastic food service trays, 10 or 12 pots per tray, on a plastic table. The ambient temp in that part of the basement varies between about 65°F and 70°F, so the soil temp sits around 67°F. Way too cold for those seeds to germinate reliably.I put the mat between the table and the trays, then plugged it into a thermostat (VIVOSUN Digital Seedling Heat Mat Thermostat Controller 68-108℉). I set the thermostat to 80°F. Its probe indicated an initial soil temp of 67°F. Even through the trays and with the low ambient and starting soil temps, the mat raised the soil temp to 80°F in about 4 hours. The thermostat is cycling on/off as soil temp moves between 80° and 81°F, drawing the expected 100W when it's on. Of course, there's a substantial soil temp hit (and re-heat time) when I water the seedlings - I should probably use warmer water.I did not insulate the mat from the table, so there's some heat loss there - I can feel it on the underside of the table. I suspect performance might be a little better if I put some cardboard and/or styrofoam between the mat and the table. So far, I'm completely satisfied with this product.UPDATE 21 APR 2018:I tried increasing the target soil temp to 82°F via the thermostat. With ambient temp in the basement dropping down to 60°F overnight during a few days of cold weather, the mat was unable to keep up. It was on 100% of the time and couldn't get the soil even to 80°F. This was not unexpected, as the product description says it "warms root area 10-20°F over ambient temperature".I put some 1" styrofoam (packaging from some assemble-it-yourself furniture) between the mat and the table. The mat is now able to quickly raise the soil temp to 83°F while only on about 70% of the time. (Average duty cycle calculated from total kWh used, total hours elapsed, and 100W).I may also replace the plastic food service trays with aluminum half-sheet pans for better heat transfer between the mat and the pots.

Worked great
Seems to have made a big difference in early sprouting of seedlings.

Perfect for seed starting indoors
I like the size of these mats. They work well for my seed starting indoors each spring. Good price compared to what I could buy locally.

Works well to increase ambient temp
I actually used this mat to increase the ambient temperature around my sourdough starter through the winter, and it worked very well.

Affordable and worked well
If you are just starting out germinating your own seeds or dont have a large garden, this seedling heat mat is perfect. It's inexpensive and has even heat that is just right for most seeds. The only drawback is that there is no heat control, but I still had great success using it and had all but 1 of my seeds germinate. I recommend this mat if you're just starting out germinating seeds or have a small garden and don't want to make a large investment in a seedling mat you only use a couple of times a year.

Fourth one purchased
I have now purchased four of these heat mats for starting my seeds. They are the perfect size for the shelving unit I have with grow lights. I used to have trouble getting my pepper seeds to germinate. Now I have almost 100% germination. Most seeds like warmer soil to sprout. I bought my first mat three years ago and it is still working just fine.

Significantly increases the sprouting time and success rate of seedlings
I wish I would have had this heating mat years ago. Seedlings starting sprouting in almost half the normal time and the success rate is much better now using this mat than in prior years without the mat. I did buy the mat without the thermostat so for that reason cannot rate "temperature control" above. I will say the default temperature that it is set at works fine. Highly recommend this heating mat to anyone who like me needs to start veggie and fruit seedlings indoors due to the long Canadian winters.

Works at 110V
Good product. As seller is shipping it outside US too, he should have mentioned it rating at 110V AC on the product page. I had to buy an additional convertor costing more than the pad itself. Still worthwhile as it is not available in India.

It works
You can't really control the temp. And you might be surprised how warm it gets. But it works and sometimes really well after testing it but you have to keep an eye on humidity and heat a lot. Do not leave it on for too long either.

Puffy and creased plastic covering - not flat and sturdy like some other types.
If you’ve gotten a seedling mat before you might expect that they are all quite similar. This is not the case.My other seedling mats are made of a rather stiff plastic with a woven texture. The closest I can come to describing is like a sturdy placemat. This mat is more like an oversized heating pad. It is a sort of soft plastic sleeve that encases the heating elements, and is kind of puffy and wrinkly. It isn’t a huge problem in and of itself; trays fit on it fine and it isn’t going to cause major problems with the creases and puffiness, but it is also clearly not as good as those flat and sturdy and not puffy mats that I have, where it seems like the plastic is bound right into the heating elements. It seems entirely possible that you could catch and tear this puffy plastic and expose the elements which simply isn’t an option with the other kind.In short, it will do for as long as it lasts but I’ll be more careful about picking which brands I get next time.
