I spent a good deal of time searching for a better quality lightning 3.5mm adapter that included power and was more focused on quality sound. When I finally found this product I was excited. It included a mic and an ingenious future—proofing firmware upgrade method via an app in the App Store. This feature was a real investment by the manufacturer in customer support as they can update the product as required. This alone raised my hopes for the product. Upon receipt I have been very impressed with the sound— lots of power, driving my noble audio IEM headphones beautifully with lots of power. The software based boost switch works great, you get three levels— none, middle, and high. The sound signature is excellent— it is keeping the highs and delivers strong bass. It is a realistic sounding amp and dac and I’d describe it as leaning towards analytical and detailed as opposed to boomy— for me, perfect. The microphone sounds great, so now your headphones without a mic have one— a big deal— or if your headphones have a mic, now it uses the db magix mic which you will find is outstanding. The controls on the adapter are great to have— volume, play/pause/answer call (one click), fast forward (double click), and previous track (triple click.) Build quality and packaging are excellent. Note the switch on the decide nearest to lightning cable is there to push cable out so you can grab it more easily, I had to study it to figure that out. Very happy with this product, it has exceeded expectations. ### ⭐ Great as long as they work. *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 18, 2018* Great as long as they last.I bought 4, 2 have had the connector pins get pitted and stop making connection.Just bought unit number 5. It came from Innomart unboxed and without the peel off label and for some reason a 3.5 cable in a plastic bag.No box or instruction manual. I think it's a return.Contacted dB Magix support. They requested photos. Sent photos for 2 units and the error message. No response.Also their Facebook page has gone unattended for 1 year and the Fremont CA phone number is out of service.
