Good for the kids, since they spill and drop food.
I use them for the kitchen counter and I just throw them in the wash.

They shrink in the wash
I like the Mats but after one wash they loose there color become misshapen and most important shrink by about 25% ,as you see in the photo I compared the washed one with a non wash one

Keeps less mess at table.Easy to clean, very durable. And very pretty .

Work ok but are unattractive
They are made of medium weight material, and the silicone dots on the bottom do help prevent sliding. But mine looked home-made, and did not lie entirely flat on the table. I should have discerned the first from the ample photos on the Amazon product page.

Very cheap material
I am very disappointed with these placemats. After washing them for the first time, they lost their color and shape (even washing in cold water and line drying). The only thing I like about these mats is that they have a non-slip side, which works really well. This is the only reason for the two stars instead of one. It's definitely worth paying a little more money and getting good quality placemats. Lesson learned.

too stiff and rubbery
The cloth was not soft at all. Very thin material and if you put a warm dinner plate on it moisture will get on your table.
