VERY in-depth
This book is fantastic for what it is supposed to do- which is to be an incredibly in depth review of hematology including specific pathways in each cell line development, etc. If you are looking for a book to guide workup of specific conditions, it doesn't really focus on that, it focuses on the broad science and physiology of hematology. If you have hours upon hours to read up on hematology/want to know the scientific background of diseases, this is the book for you.

Extremely in depth but fills with error
I pause the reading after I encounter an error under "gene regulation" section in Chapter 1 where it indicates euchromatin is the most tightly compacted chromatin regions while both Google and my Hematology Clinical principle and apps from 2002 point out otherwise. It should be the other way around, Euchromatin = less condensed and Heterchromatin = most condensed.
