Flawless wireless performance between all my home devices, very pleased so far.
So far I'm really impressed with this. I've had it just under a month, so longevity I can't speak about, but the product itself is working literally flawlessly for me so far since I have set it up. I've recommended it to 2 friends so far because of how good it is. I specifically recommend this Pro version for the options. I think there is an XE75 option that is non-pro but the options the pro provides are necessary in my opinion.I have about 30 devices on my network that this runs, and they are all working without any issues at all. IoT devices, TVs, computers, phones, ipads, etc. The usual stuff. Ring, smart plugs, those things have all worked without any issues.I realized after the fact that it had an IoT option, otherwise I would have setup my IoT devices on that, but even with that "mistake", I found that is allows you to do Device Isolation per-device. So I just went through the wireless clients on the list, and added any IoT stuff to Device Isolation, now they're separate from my main network even though they're using the same SSID. Pretty great. Also a feature I really like is I can tell a device which point to connect to. So I have my laptop and other things connect to the main point always, because they don't need to connect to the mesh point ever, and I also can tell things on a per-device level which band to use. For example a Steam Deck OLED can always use 6Ghz, so I've set mine to do that and it's worked. Streaming from PC to SD OLED has been literally flawless on this and I honestly would not have believed someone if they'd told me I would forget I was streaming it over my network. I figured latency would always be noticeable. Well, here to say, no it isn't and the thing has actually made me forget that I'm streaming from a console or PC to my handheld, because it works so well.Definitely recommend these specific devices to friends... I haven't used TP Link before this so I can't say anything about other products in the range, but these XE75 Pro models have worked super well for me.I'd like more options for administration over web browser from a PC, right now that is pretty slim and you can't do setup that way or anything. It's more of a "look and see what's going on" type of interface. But all setup is done by phone app, and while I don't particularly like that, they have it setup so well to work that way that I honestly can't complain about it.

Access to full internet speed throughout home vs single router.
I purchased the two pack for a 1635 sq foot townhome. My previous single router work well, but the range wasn’t enough to provide the full internet speed throughout the entire home. Also, those 2.4g devices furthest from the router didn’t work very well. Manually switching channels helped at times, but i still wouldn’t get the speed necessary to run the device effectively. My search led me to my first Mesh system. I concentrated on reviews that showed single digit negative reviews first followed by the next Mesh system brand. Interestingly, the next brand had twice the percentage of negative reviews as TP-Link which ultimately led me to purchase the TP.I was concerned by the TP’s lack of a complete security software unless you purchased a subscription. However, the security that comes with the device is more than enough for any home use. Plus, your antivirus software we all already purchase includes a firewall. To test the security and instill confidence, I ran the internet security test included on the TP app. I also ran a free independent security test by visiting the “Shieldsup!” web site. The TP app gave me a bit of trouble right off the bat when I was unable to fill in my email address into the box. Not sure why this happened, but I was ready to just return the product when things started to function properly. If you are used to a web based router software with multiple options in setting up your system, you may at first be disappointed with the app. However, after connecting your clients using the app, you will find the TP software does an excellent job of providing full speed to all of you devices.I would advise not using QoS as the Mesh system does well enough without its use. I initially selected four devices as a high priority and the speeds dropped off considerably. TP advises not to select too many devices for QoS so maybe just the top single device if necessary.A suggestion for connecting your clients on initial setup. Power up one device at a time. You will then know which device you just connected and you can easily rename that device with a familiar location and name. For example, your living room tv could by renamed from some obscure reference to LR Sony TV, etc.If you connect everything at once, you will have to compare IP addresses on the TP app to the device’s IP address displayed within the device itself to ensure correct identification. You can manually select which band you want your device to access. I had to do this with one tv in close proximity to the TP access node that would assign 2.4g. The only issue this created was on the TP app that displays all your connected devices. When I manually selected the 5g band for the tv, the device would only display in the not connected list of devices.Perhaps TP will correct this with a software update. One last observation. Fast Roaming is an option in the TP app that is supposed to allow devices to quickly and easily switch between nodes. I’ve found that if the signal is still somewhat good, the device will not switch. If you want the device to switch to the closest node for the best signal, you may have to restart the device or use the TP app scan function to reassign the device to the closet node.Overall I’m very pleased with the TP-Link Mesh system and can see why its negative reviews are 50 percent less than other Mesh systems reviews.
