SEAOURA 24/7 Led Aquarium Light for Plants Growth-Full Spectrum, 12-18 Inch

I finally switched to LED and I love this light on my tank. The plants and fish are thriving. I do have to keep algae down some but it's worth it. I love using the natural setting that simulates sunrise, noon, sunset and twilight. Before it goes off for the night there is some time with just blue moon light which is really pretty. If the instructions are unclear there are video reviews that help explain it to make set up easy.

This is my first aquarium light with LEDs. It is very nice quality and the controller is really cool. I really enjoy trying the different colors. The numbers on the controller are super tiny and it is hard to see the options that are not selected because they are not lit. So I came back to its Amazon page and took a screen shot of a zoom-in on a color photo of it, for quick reference. Eventually you will learn all the options so it is no big deal, and I like the tiny size of the controller, so this is a good trade-off. Also, I debated between this and their older model and I am glad I got this one. I like that it has aluminum casing instead of ABS (although I have not felt it get hot -- then again I don't like to have it full-spectrum brightest). Also, I like the design of the controller and having more options. I will cut a strip of black paper to put in front of it to block my sight between the glass lid and the lamp, so I won't see the reflection of the LEDs on my glass lid if I'm not perfectly straight in front of it (as opposed to above or bellow, because then you can see either the LEDs or their reflection). This should be an easy fix, and then it will be perfect.

I have this light in a 20 gallon tall hex tank. I had to 3d print some little adapters so it would stick on the lid. When I first got it I had a very basic all plastic plants, fake decor tank. When I would turn the daylight mode all the way up, it was ridiculously bright- it looked like a doctors office. I thought how could anyone need this? But once I re-did my tank and made it all natural with plenty of plants and rocks and sand, the light is perfect. My plants are happy. I enjoy the blue/aqua mode too, it is a good night time vibe.

I really do like this extension light. I love the sunrise and sunset 24hour timer!!! The instructions are very confusing, i had to watch the video like 13 times. I think i figured it out though. Pros: -sunrise and sunset slow turn on/off 24 hour timer, you don't even need to do anything once its set. -color options! Pink, green, orange! Whatever you want -brightness level so many options Cons: -brightness level! The 24 hour timer doesn't allow you to adjust brightness! This sucks because from 10-4 it’s SOOOO bright in the tank. Too bright -confusing instructions -doesn't fit under a lid!

The inline on/off control switch is the worst controller I've ever tried to use on any product ever. The instructions were obviously written by someone that couldn't figure this thing out either. The 'manual' has no sense of order in set up. its really mostly a guessing game poking at tiny, unlegable buttons. There is no user definable lighting, only 3 unchangeng time slots 6am-9pm, ..7am-10pm ..8am-11pm. thats it. User can not adjust brightness, colors or on/off time in the 24/7 mode. its absolutely a joke. I could have bought a $15 string of rgb leds with a actual remote control and done way better than this. I didnt attempt to set this up untill after my return window. Ill give it to somebody I dont like much. I'm shopping for different brand.

I love it, it was easy to set up on the tank and I was worried because the reviews said it’s very complicated to figure out but with a quick YouTube search i figured it out super fast. The 24 hour light setting is beautiful and makes my life super easy and I am excited to see the plant growth!
