It plays very loudly for songs that are downloaded. It does not play streamed content (YouTube) well at all.Definitely water proof. Ours floated in our pool and played well.

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. It’s excellent. The sound quality is shockingly good for such a small device. The volume can be a whisper or like a boom box, and still stays crystal clear without distortion or getting tinny. The battery life is impressive, allowing great portability. This is definitely an exception value at a great price.

The media could not be loaded.  I picked this up last minute and didn’t have time to seek out the perfect speaker for my needs. Luckily it got the job done.They don’t seem to be available on Amazon currently, but I purchased mine in Best Buy.It’s portable & has the option of lights off or on. Depending on how you set this, you’ll get a different sound. More clarity vertical, more fullness horizontal. I tried to show this in my video!(I have ownership & permission to use this song. Music is by Ave Inanis)I wish it had a volume control. When I max out the volume on my iphone. Some songs just have different volume levels, and volume controls would help this. It’s what you get for the lower price.Lastly, I feel this could be much louder/project more if the speaker was in the middle instead of the top end.Battery life could be better. I find that it doesn’t last long. Perhaps you can extend the battery life by turning off the lights.Still very happy with it. The quality is there despite its size

Due to the cover at the charging location, this speaker is waterproof when cover is closed. The sound is great for the money and the compact size makes it easy to transport.

This is my second "blue tooth type" speaker. I do like it, easy to use. Biggest complaint is lack of ability to control sounds levels. The unit itself has no controls other than to control the lights (well, from what I know so far). Volume controls depend on website etc and my actual laptop. I use it every day and must charge the battery every day, sometimes twice and it's not a really fast charge.

I expected this item to be a little bit larger for some reason. It really surprised me to find out that the speaker is just a tiny bit smaller than a 16 ounce can of soda.In a quiet area, this small speaker does the job, it will fill the room with enough sound to be enjoyable. If you plan to sing along with your music at the top of your lungs, you'll probably drown out the sound of the speaker however.I tested the waterproof nature by taking the speaker into the shower. With the acoustics of my shower, the speaker sounded great, and it didn't matter if it got splashed, held like a microphone under the water or even submerged for a while. Pro-Tip, you have to clear the water off of the speaker for it to be able to actually play music.Key Points.1) Size - 3/4 the height of a 16 ounce soda can, and about the same width2) Decent volume for the money. (doesn't blow your socks off)3) Decent sound quality for the money4) Extremely Waterproof5) Floats in water6) Color changing is awesome for kids and pool use.If you want something small and easy to bring around in almost any situation, this iHome Bluetooth speaker just might fit the bill for you. Don't have super high expectations for loudness and overall sound quality, but it definitely is louder than your phone speakers, and will do the job in a pinch.
