I used these snaps to re-enforce the velcro straps on my cat's walking harness. These snaps were easy to install even through the heavy jean and velcro material .

Works great. Went through thick canvas no problem.

As a novice seamstress, this could be my fault. But I'm having trouble locking these snaps into the fabric. It seems like once I use the hammer & flaring tool, the snaps go into the fabric loosely, but then won't snap together. The flaring tool almost warps the inside of the snaps and makes them no longer fit together... Maybe I'm hitting it too hard, but if I hit it softer, it definitely won't hook onto the fabric.Once again, I'm new to sewing. I ordered these to put onto some projects I'm working on. I'll continue to try new methods with this.Otherwise, they are true to size and look good.
