Visual Artist and Graduate Student: This is my first fancy expensive pen - I bought for myself
I have been purchasing inexpensive fountain pens from China and on Amazon. Mostly because I like the way they write better than ballpoint. I also hate the waste involved in disposable pens. Too much plastic waste in the world, I want to reduce my contribution to it - even in little ways. In my experience with nearly a dozen cheaper pens, I used them to learn what I liked and disliked in terms of weight, feel, nibs, refilling and quality. After a while, I’ve come to have strong preferences. As a graduate student and visual artist, it is important to love how pens feel in my hand and fingers for the hours and hours of writing or sketching I do for academic papers as well as portrait work. This vendor engraved it - so the WORLD know’s it’s mine :) They did it quickly and shipped it the same DAY! The font and engraving looks good - clean and classy. The weight of the pen FEELS like quality, not like the plastic or paper clip feel of the cheaper ones, but also not heavy enough to become tedious.I also learned I don’t like the thick, broad body fountain pens. They are more challenging to control (for my hand size) and cause premature fatigue when writing or drawing.Since I just received this pen, I’ll write more about it as time allows and I have more experience with it.I am super excited to purchase my first high quality pen. Also, I love the lifetime warranty as well as the fact it comes with TWO ink cartridges. I will replace it with a convertible ink cartridge to reduce plastic waste.

My father used to have this pen and they are for ever.
I got this pen for my nephew that just graduated from medicine school and I engraved his name. He loves it!!!
