Excellent product that helps with pain relief. I love it for migraines and back pain. The jade stones help stimulate and relax the circulatory system allowing your body to heal. They also release negative ions to help with depression and to counteract EMF radiation from computers and cell phones. VERY important that this brand sells replacement cords- i have not seen this from any other manufacturer. This is a very high quality product.

Buy this jade heating mat ASAP! It is in a completely different class from ordinary heating pads, and although the company cannot say so, you should know why it is worth every penny and then some. I had a medical quality moist heating pad for 20 years, and the wiring finally shorted out. I read the reviews for this product, and was skeptical about some of the claims, found it expensive, but took a chance and ordered the medium mat anyway figuring I could always return it. I have chronic muscle and joint pain, and have tried everything. Here's what happened with me: I have had a ton of deep tissue massage done with marginal success in relieving the pain and tension in my body. I needed something to relieve the unconsciously held "body armor" caused by unconsciously clenching the muscles from constant pain and "life shocks" caused by abuse, childhood and adult trauma, stress, and anxiety. OK. I know you are thinking I am nuts, and I will admit that I am from California, but I am serious. I spent thousands of dollars on deep tissue massage to alleviate the dibilating pain from the above. It helped, and I experienced some relief, but the cost was interfering with my ability to pay the rent, so I had to give it up. Plus, it hurts! This does not hurt and it is helping me release the deeper tensions gently and easily! When I read the reviews there was one that said using the mat brought up emotions and feelings that upset her. I thought, "Yeah. Sure, Lady!" And I just figured she nuts. When I started using the mat, it started happening to me, too! I remember this process from Rolfing, Rikie, and Aston massage (deep tissue massage aimed at removing unconscious body armor) As the tension is released at a really deep level, the memories that caused the muscular clenching often surface into the conscious mind. If you find this upsetting or too damn weird, move the mat to another part of your body, or take a break from these sessions until you feel ready to move on. Ordinary heating pads only work at a surface level and can help the surface pain, but this can release much deeper pain in your mind and body. I can hear you thinking "Yeah. Sure, Lady." but it is totally true. If this seems like a lot of money, please remember that one massage can cost up to $200.00 per hour. At that rate, your mat will quickly pay for itself! My doctor told me to use it in 30 minute intervals and alternate warm and cool, because the warm makes the blood pool to the heated area, and the cool pulls that pooled blood away, taking the toxins with it. OK... Most Sincerely, "Improving Rapidly In Sonoma (Yes, California!!!!) The company cannot make these claims, and just as well, but someone has to say it, and it might as well be me, because I know exactly what is going on, and I know how to explain what is happening in a way everyone can understand. Still reticent? Do what I did and order it, with the understanding that you can return it if you do not find it 100% to your satisfaction.

Very pricey for a heat pad, but since I have to sit on one all day long, I didn't want the emf's shooting into my groin. They claim this blocks some of the emf's, though I have no way to prove it. Overall a nice device... gets plenty warm and is large in size. What I don't like is that the price is steep, the temp clicker is big and bulky, and it's not the most comfortable thing to sit on (because there are stones). Also, for some reason when sometimes the temp exceeds many degrees what I set it at. I'm not sure why though. I did send a message to the seller with the question, but they didn't seem to understand what I was asking. Also, there should be a quicker way to set the temp (instead of having to always press the temp+ button to go from the default 109 degrees. With that said, it's a good product. If they could make the improvements mentioned here, and cut the price down to $70 they'd have a winner.

Bought for my husband who has back, shoulder and knee problems. He loves this heating pad. He really likes that he can adjust the temperature and timer to what he needs.

I have sciatica on both hips and down the legs, plus old injuries that never seems to heal completely even with therapeutic massage and acupuncture, and current pains at times from overdoing (I was a dancer and athlete, I don’t seem to understand physical boundaries! :) ). So I ordered the large Luxury pad to sleep on. I also decided to buy both the small pro and neck pad for my husband and me to use when we sit in the den. Now I will tell you why I did that: My husband also has occasional aches from overdoing like pulling this or that in exercise or "man chores," he was also an athlete. He likes to rib me and tell people that I have bought a lot of “stuff” to prevent pain over the years, but this pad actually passed his severe scrutiny test since it took away most all of his pulled rib pain from a fall the first time he used it. Yeah! So now he’s a believer, too. :) The reason I don’t bring the pad that I sleep on into the den is because … well, it’s big! And heavy with all the stones sewn in. And it’s a royal pain to crawl behind the bed to unplug it and then bring it back into the bedroom every night. So getting two more smaller pads last week for the den was a great idea. We have already gotten our money’s worth, believe me (and it helped that UTK provides discounts for ordering in bundles). The smaller Pro pad is much easier to move around and to use on different parts of our bodies rather than just laying back on it—not to worry, it's large enough to cover the entire back. I have almost constant neck aches due to old injuries, so I definitely needed the neck and shoulder pad-in-one, as well. UTK recommends using their "healing" pads 30 minutes twice a day at about 130 degrees or more, as warm as you can take it, but I turn the temperature down on the one I sleep on to 111 degrees (perfect temp for me) and turn it on for a much longer period of time (a couple of hours or so) so that it can treat my other hip when I turn over in my sleep before it turns off with the automatic setting. My body has not rejected that longer period of infrared light, I guess b/c I turn the temperature down that low. I wake up without pain! This is HUGE for me. Before I used this "healing" pad, I had to constantly turn in my sleep to get relief from my aching hips, the longer I slept on my side, the more that hip ached until I was forced to turn--tossing and turning all night. I never slept deeply. I would use all kinds of topical creams, minor pills--even CBD, and then exercise in bed (leg lifts, etc) until I could dull the pain enough to just fall asleep. The regular heating pads helped a little but didn’t provide enough relief, and I woke up in pain and stiff every morning. After all, heating pads only provide warmth, not healing. [But one thing to note is that the warmer your bed, the less restless leg syndrome or sciatica acts up.] Therefore, my hip and leg pain made me a very light sleeper when I finally fell off to sleep. Now I’m getting deeper sleep just by treating my hips, and sometimes back, at night with this large healing pad and with clothes on. I discovered that I have no need to treat my legs in particular, they don’t hurt when my hips don’t. I never knew that before. I wake up feeling so much better than I ever did, since my twenties (before the accidents). And upon waking, I don’t feel sore all over anymore, either. A friend of mine has bad hip sciatica, too, and traveled two days in a car to visit us over the holidays (stopping overnight of course). She could barely walk when she entered our home and was even shaking a bit. Right away, I put her on my pad and tucked her in for a nap. I woke her to turn her over after 45 minutes (giving it an extra 15 minutes to warm up--it takes less than that, but the timer comes in 15 minute increments, so this works) at 135 degrees with clothes on. After she turned over to the other side, I set her other hip for 30 minutes at 135 degrees. She slept so hard I could barely wake her. When she got up, she had NO pain in either hip! I kid you not, that’s how good this pad is. Her husband couldn't believe it and said that he was definitely going to buy them one of these pads when they got home. I recommend the ones with jade stones added due to the added healing benefits. And BTW, the company is Fantastic about working with you about anything. I just wish I had known about this pad when my mother was living with so much back pain due to Osteoporosis. It would have made her life so much happier. I also informed my massage therapist about these UTK pads, she’s a real believer in infrared light for healing, and she too wants to buy them. She needs one for a personal injury, and she wants to put a long one on her massage table for her patients’ benefit--it would be easier to use than a large infrared light. In the past, I even bought a small infrared light, about the size of a desk lamp, and I readily prefer this pad and its superior benefits. The lamp was far to inconvenient to use, and I couldn't really tell that it did much of anything. UTK's pads are the best healer I’ve discovered over the past 25 years of looking into every type of holistic healing available. I asked the company a lot of questions before my purchase, and I couldn't be more pleased in every way.

Revised. It was a Great heating pad until it stopped working, just totally quit, 16 months after buying it. For the price of it, it should last for several years. I took perfect care with it too. I contacted the maker when it stopped working, and was told it was out of warranty, basically so sad to bad. Below is the review I wrote and if it kept working, it would have been a great product, if it kept working or if the manufacturer gave a darn. So I've had this for over a year now, and it still works great. I don't understand the negitive reviews like it doesn't get hot, mine gets supper hot, I run it mostly at 140 and it gets much hotter, another thing is people saying it takes to long to heat up. Mine takes 3 to 5 minutes to reach the temperature I set it at, yes the first few times I used it, it took like 10 to 20 minutes, but it needs to be run a few time. I live on this thing, I'd say I use it 2 to 6 hours per day every single day. I attached it to the back of my recliner and start ever day out with it. I've had several back surgery sand owned so many different heating pad, I've never found one that is even 10% as great as this one. I don't know what I'd do if it quit working. So I do not understand the negative comments at all, maybe they just got a bad unit, or they didn't use it long enough. This is the Greatest heating pad ever. I have used heating pads periodically, all of my life for different pain/comfort issues. Several things about this particular heating pad are very different and unique in my experiences. The ability to select the desired temperature and the period of time that one wishes to have the heat on, are flexible, adjustable modes that one can choose and change for any/every situation. Most importantly for me, is the ability to lay upon it. Every other heating pad I have used, states that it is unsafe to do so. Then, the incorporation of the smooth jade stones. The jade In itself, is an additional therapeutic modality that I had been completely unaware of. Combined with the heat, the pain relief and degree of comfort are extraordinary. It does take a bit of creativity to find something to cover the pad with so that it is more comfortable to lay upon. I have found that a thick cotton Turkish towel works very well. There are thousands of products with varying degrees of effectiveness that one can purchase. On the very few occasions I have contacted a customer service department regarding a product that I was having problems with, the response has been someone generic, automated, or indifferent. IF, I received any response at all. Unfortunately, and as a result of this, it has become the sort of thing that I simply don’t bother contacting a customer service. HOWEVER, not so with UTK Technology regarding a problem I was having with this heating pad. I do think that the reason I reached out to the UTK customer service department, was because when the pad was functioning, it afforded so much relief. The turnaround time from my initial contact to complete resolution of the problem, was 10 days. Maybe more ~ maybe less. It was quickly apparent that their goal, was my complete satisfaction. I am beyond satisfied. I am very grateful for the resolution of the problem. And, in knowing there are companies who do value the effectiveness of their products, and the purchasers satisfaction and happiness with the product. UTK Technology is a company that I cannot recommend enough. I have shared my experience with friends and family, and now with anyone/everyone who chooses to read this review.

This is a fantastic product!! I bought 4 more as gifts to people who struggle with bad backs, joint pain, knee pain, etc. I only need to use it for 1.5h in the evening, and in the morning I jump on my feet and keep on with my day. Seriously changed my life. I also attach it on my office chair, and while I’m working my back is getting heat therapy. Easy on the skin, even though I like to have a top on while using it. You can change the temperature to suit your needs. Also has a timer that I use as well. Truly highly recommend it if you’ve got lower back issues, neck issues, joint paint (knees, hips etc). You can sleep on it it’s a good size. Doesn’t burn your skin coz it’s infra red heating. Honestly, an absolute winner.

I can feel the difference in the pain relief with this mat compared to my usual heating pad. I have psoriatic arthritis, and I get muscle spasms through my entire back. My hip joint hurts deep inside which the old heat pad although hot enough didn’t seam to touch the pain level as much as this one does. I’ll pop back to update my review after a couple of months. I feel like I have had a hot bath after laying on this. What I also notice is that once pain relief is achieved with this, there is a lasting affect. Where I would normally expect spasms to start to return, it seams that it takes longer even after getting off the mat for an hour. Very happy. Need a full body one lol.

I've been seeking pain relief using an electric heating pad for more than 30 years now, and this one is the champion! Did you now that your brain, can take in pain, vibration or heat at one time? So, I began using a heating pad to cancel out the pain sensation, way back in the day...This one is the best pad of them all! I was a bit worried by all those little stones incorporated into this pad's design. But, if anything, these stones seem to retain a mellow sensation of warming! The pad is expensive, but I can now say that the price is worth it!

This product has made life more comfortable for hubby who suffers with level 8-10 pain when he lays down during the day, I use one on my back and I feel the pain ease. It's not a cure but certainly does ease and relieve.
