SkinActive Face Wash with Green Tea, Oily Skin, 6.7 fl. oz.

I love this stuff. I tend to have a very oily and shiny forehead and chin, while my cheeks can be a little dry. And I have pretty sensitive skin since I used to have eczema :(. But when I used this moisturizer, I couldn’t believe for 1, how good it smelled, 2, it doesn’t get in my eyes and burn, 3, it makes my face so soft and way less oily. After a few hours being in the heat, I still get slightly oily but I’m sure that’s a good thing. And my face still feels so moisturized. My dad has an oily face too, but after using this, he said both our faces are so smooth and bright after just 1 use. So give it a try! I also use the deep pore cleanser with it! Um, I did start seeing slight bumps and I got worried, but they didn’t itch or hurt, and after another day, it all went away, and my skin looks so good. I guess it pulled all that funk out of my face lol!

LATEST UPDATE!! Ok so July 2021, bacon when I restocked on this product asian in like late 2019 or early 2020, I thought I was going to love using it like I had originally. However after some time of use my neck area started having severe reactions like chemical burns. I didn’t think it was this product, but after not using it for a bit the reaction disappeared. Then when I tried again after about a month the same reaction happened. So yeah this product maybe it was the different seller but it gave me severe reactions. Bought this on May 3, 2019 and have been using this nightly. It’s great as my skin is oily but using only products to remove oil from my face has made my face more oily. So using this at night it has helped moisturized my skin overnight without it being overly oily. The smell is light which I like because I don’t like strong smelling creams. Update: I restocked because this has become a holy grail item for my nightly routine! I wish I had down so when it was still cheap though. This particular one isn’t sold in stores so I repurchased a double pack! It has done wonders for my skin so I’m really glad to still be able to purchase it here at least.

This is the only moisturizer I have found that works for my combination skin type. I used to struggle with oiliness and dryness and this is very light.. spreads easily.. last all day long and hydrates immediately. I have bought it multiple times and don’t want to try something else.

This works great for my genetically oily skin. I find it really refreshing and soothing. My skin stays hydrated all day or night. Like others said, it takes a few minutes to sink in. It doesn’t mattify my skin but it also doesn’t leave any greasy, overly shiny look or feel. I didn’t buy it hoping it would completely mattify my skin. It leaves me with a general dewiness which stays well-balanced throughout the day. I still use oil blotting sheets at least once later in the day because it doesn’t keep my skin completely from producing oil (which makes sense to me). When I use it, I tilt the container toward my palm, give it a little shake and let the amount I want fall out so I don’t have to stick my hands inside the mixture. Overall, I’m really happy with it even though it says is mattifies and it doesn’t.

I am loving this cleanser. When I lived in Italy in 2011, Garnier sold a cleanser that had green tea that I absolutely adored but seemed to be country-specific, so when I found out the company was releasing a new green tea cleanser, I jumped on it even though I didn't absolutely need a new cleanser at the moment (I was using the Garnier Clean+Invigorating cleanser). This cleanser smells a lot like the Garnier Clean+Invigorating and the cleanser I used in Italy. It has a slightly thinner texture than Garnier's usual cleansers, but it still foams up nicely when massaged into the skin. The dispenser is fairly conservative in what it deals out, which I appreciate--two or three pumps works well for me. It also locks without having to push the dispenser down, which is a small but helpful aspect of the packaging. This cleanser is gentle and effective. It has been a great cleanser to use as I introduce Retin-A into my routine, as Retin-A tends to upset the skin as it works its magic. The cleanser never burns or upsets my skin, even after I was experiencing skin sensitivity due to the Retin-A. I have nothing but good things to say!

I had a few issues with this product. First, like a lot of other reviewers have said the jar doesn't come entirely full. There's no safety seal when you open the jar for the first time, and it is closed with a piece of clear tape. Second, for a product that claims to be made of 97% natural ingredients, its had a funky, chemically smell to it. Now, the overall scent is a fresh, herbal, green tea kind of deal, but with distinct undertones of burning plastic, chemicals and other things that scream "PLEASE DO NOT PUT ME ON YOUR FACE". The smell wasn't as strong as in the face wash, which I also bought, but considering that this is a moisturizer,having that sort of scent on your face and hands isn't great. Third, it's so dense! I understand that it's not marketed as a gel moisturizer or anything like that, but being a product specifically for oily skin types I was expecting something much more lightweight. It's an okay product over all. I wouldn't purchase it again, but I'm still going to use it. I guess I must just be spoiled by my usual moisturizer. I use the Holika Holika Lazy and Easy moisturizer on the daily, it's lightweight, smells great, and adds the perfect amount of moisture for my oily, acne prone skin. I typically buy it at Marshalls because it's much less expensive there, but with the current health crisis I've had to settle for something I can afford and have shipped to my home.

If "natural" ingredients is a big deal to you, this is a good choice. Less scrubbing bits than St Ives exfoliating scrubs. So if you want a more abrasive/exfoliating scrub, go with the St Ives. Because it contains salicylic acid to help with acne, it can be a little drying or harsh compared to a "soap free" cleanser like Spectro, Cerave, Cetaphil, etc. But if you find those cleansers a little too gentle, this is a good pick.

I like this exfoliator- the one thing that bothers me is the beads don't evaporate. So after I wash my face I still feel the small beads. I was using Neutrogena Hydro Boost exfoliator before and this never happened. BUT this face wash does leave me feeling very fresh and clean with no break outs. Smells nice too.
