I ordered this kit because of convenience and price. I already had a design in mind. I didn't want to search for every item I needed (thread, hoop, scissors, etc.). This kit has everything you need to start on a cross stitch project. The color selection is very good. I wasn't able to match the colors to the design I had but I was able to pick my favorite colors from what was included in the kit to make the design my own. The threads are very good quality. The aida cloth is stiff enough you almost don't even need the hoop. I prefer to use the hoop because it gives the project some stability and makes it easier to count the stitches. The hoop is good. I am not a fan of the closure system with the screw as it hurts my fingers because it is so small. I used pliers. For the price though and for what I got I am very happy with my purchase. I was able to start on my project right away.

I am completely new to cross stitching. I found this cross stitching kit to have everything I need to learn to cross stitch except for instructions and pattern. But you will find all the floss and tools to get you started. Would highly recommended this cross stitch kit. The price can't be beat with everything you receive.
