Okay so I bought a bag of weevil contaminated flour from the grocery store. Didn't know, left on vacation & by the time we got back the weevils were in everything !! All food items that were in cardboard or thin plastic bags were infested so obviously I threw all that stuff out and had to rethink my food storage so this wouldn't happen again. I started freezing food (all dry good, grains,etc) for a week when I brought it home. That's to kill anything that may be alive and hiding in them. Next step is removing food from its original packaging ( Unless it's in a can or glass jar). Weevils can chew through the cardboard and plastic bags. So I bought a bunch of new, airtight food containers. Mostly mason jars. Put the food in there. Then I read how it's possible for weevil eggs to survive the freezer but that if you put them in a zero oxygen environment they will definitely die. That's what led me to try oxygen absorbers. These are working out great so far ! I've only used about 30 but they were all fresh and sealed the mason jars within a few hours. It's been about a month and no seals have failed - not a single one. I'm a believer ! And would definitely recommend using these to anyone

Products like these run the gamut of super cheap to outlandishly expensive and it's always a crap shoot as to the quality. I am VERY satisfied with the FreshPackUSA oxygen absorbers I purchased. I especially appreciate that they break them down into small packages within the overall quantity. I've lost multiple dozens of packets before because I couldn't use them quickly enough. Using 10 at a time is much more doable than trying to use 100 just to ensure that they stay fresh. I'll use this vendor again.

These are great. I will be getting more. We use them all around the house as well as for food. Living in coastal Texas nothing stays fresh. Love these! Great product great price and made in the USA! Thank you!! EDIT: My husband keeps our gun safe in the garage, and the moisture of course is terrible! So, guess what I did, I put a few of these in all our safes and they work sooo good!

the fact that they are in 10 separate packs and the packs are resealiable with my vac sealer makes these a wonder to work wit.h You don't have to have a lot of bags/ jars ready before you open a 10 pack...this way I can do even 3 or three at a time.

These arrived as described in well sealed packs of ten. Each package has a pink dot in it. The dot turns blue when you have allowed them to be exposed to air for too long. We find the packs of ten are best for us, because of the time thing. You only have a few minutes to get them into your package and reseal it before they expire. I first bought packs of 100 because it was a “better deal”, but after needing to throw away 50 or 60 because I didn't move fast enough, I decided 10 per pack was a smarter way to go. We use these in mylar bags to seal our freeze dried meals. We also have used them in long term storage bags of rice that we vacuum seal and sealed mason jars.

I like a few things about this above the fact that they work to keep oxygen out of the things I freeze dry and either can, put in mylar bags or bottle for short term (months rather than many years). I like that they are packaged in packets of 10 so I'm not having to open a whole bag each time I need one. Thus I'm not exposing many to oxygen with repeated opening. I also really like that each 10 pack includes a table that tells me if they are still good by the color of the tablet.

I like that these are in packs of ten making it easy to use small amounts. They have the color sensor to show if oxygen is present. I vacuum sealed the ones that I didn’t use and the oxygen sensor turned back to pink after being blue while bag was open. Will order again.
