Denon is Great, not so for Amazon.
An amazing and easy to use AVR. On screen set up including room calibration provided a wonderful audio experience. This is my second Denon and I have to rate them as top of the line. Amazon Delivery was a problem though, they seem to be losing their advantage especially to Prime members who are told an arrival time at the time of order only to miss that regularly. I have experienced multiple times.... Unacceptable, sucker us in to make a purchase based upon receival date and then not provide that service.

For $300 it's good.
This is my third Denon receiver, so I have some experience with this brand. The first I bought in 2004 for about $1,600 (high quality). I still have it and it works great, but doesn't support 4K since that wasn't around back then. The second was about $500 and I use it for my main theater and I've had that for a few years. So, when it came time to get a cheap one for my bedroom setup, I went with Denon. Well, I've only had this one a week or so, but so far I think it's fine. I paired it with a cheap home theater speaker set and a TCL Roku TV. I am not sure if it's the receiver or the PS5, but sometimes the localization of games doesn't match the surround sound right and the voices are hard to hear. It's kinda bad with Horizon Zero Dawn. That could be the game though. It works better with Destiny 2 on the XBox Series X. It also has this weird issue where when I switch off the Denon input and just want to watch Roku apps like Youtube, the sound won't work unless I switch the TV audio settings to TV speakers and then right back to auto. Then it picks up the sound. Not sure if that is the receiver's fault though. It does have the room acoustic setup, but you cannot rename the inputs, which you can on my other more expensive Denon products. The Roku remote also easily paired with the Denon so I can just use one remote. So far it's well worth the $290 I spent on it. It's a cheaper receiver paired with cheap speakers so I wasn't expecting a lot, just basic surround sound.

Impressive On-Screen Setup and Controls, Great Unit For The Price And Featurees
I just purchased a Denon AVR-S570BT AV Receiver. This unit replaced my older expensive Yamaha unit which replaced an older Yamaha receiver. I’ve been burned twice now by Yamaha with units that died well before they should. I decided to try the well known Denon electronics brand which I have owned in the past. I opted to avoid an expensive unit that did not have all of the features of my older failed Yamaha receivers which I did not use. I chose this model because it had everything I required and nothing extra to keep it simple. I have Cable TV, Apple TV and a DVD/CD player. There is no Wifi or Ethernet connections on this model but it had 4 HDMI in connections, 1 out to the TV plus a sub woofer out connection. Upon receipt I was immediately impressed with the on-screen Setup Assistant. It was easy to follow and surprisingly very complete for every connection and the speaker balancing feature using a wired mic. It checked each connection with on-screen verification. Someone put some thought into this guide. Second, the PDF on line or downloadable manual was complete, very well written and easy to find everything when I needed further information. Beside the usual controls this unit has tone controls on the face of the receiver as well as on the remote which will be helpful when viewing video that the bass audio is too loud for my taste. Changing playback modes is easy controlled and the Pure Direct works very well on older movie and TV shows with poor audio and dialog. Finally the Bluetooth connection to my iPhone playlist was very easy to setup and works very well with good stereo playback. So far I am very happy with my Denon unit and hopefully it will have a better life expectancy than my 2 expensive Yamaha units.

Pretty awful. Dreadful even . This is going into the trash. My last Denon product.
Major pain to set up. I'm an audio guy. You can't plug it in and turn it on, you have to plug if it into your TV and follow prompts, even with simple stereo. No switched outlets which means I have to turn on my sub separately and remember to turn it off later. Terrible Bluetooth. Terrible manual. Another example of a tech product needlessly difficult to use. Took months to find out how bad this thing is, otherwise I would have returned it. Be careful about bumping a random button on the ridiculously bad remote. You might totally lose a function. Good luck trying to locate it in the manual. Speaking on a bad remote, there is a delay using the volume control. You have to hold it down for a couple seconds before the volume changes, and when it does, it jumps in volume. You go from not being able to hear it to being startled by super loud volume. Did I mention this thing is not very good? I keep coming to add more terrible things about this. If you turn the remote button side down, you might have to set it up again from scratch. When using the remote to increase the volume, it lags and then suddenly goes really loud in a burst. This is possibly the very worst receiver I’ve ever owned. Bluetooth in, no bluetooth out. Can’t use Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth speakers.

Worked out great
I was worried about sound components not working with each other. I have an Apple TV that uses E Arc audio. The first HDMI cable I bought was a very popular rocketfish one that only had a couple reviews of earc, I think someone said it worked, but it did not for me. Womp Womp. Was it just a bad one? So I bought the highly reviewed and ultra cheap Best Buy hdmi cable for eArc. It amazingly worked like everyone said it would. I hooked this denon up to a Klipsch r-120sw subwoofer and some old very small center and side speakers with a mediabridge ultra y cable and the sound is truly amazing. In case anyone needs this info like I did: the sub didn’t work at first with a Y cable. I bought the Mediabridge ultra one because I saw other reviews saying it is great. But the sub didn’t work at first, it only put out some deep sound when something crashed in a movie and I had no music sound from it. I wondered if I was using the wrong cable, but even Klipsch suggested that a Y cable would give me the best sub sound (even though the 3 page sub manual did not say this). So I kept the Y cable and found info on an “advanced setting” in the Denon. I changed LFE to “Lfe + main” and now everything works, music, tv, all of it. The sound is awesome and perfect. There are other settings you can tweak to your liking in the denon, to change the audio, but I haven’t needed to. It all sounds amazing. I am pretty much posting this info to all components because I had to dig through it all myself and maybe this will help someone else.

A lot of problems
The sound quality , heat management and built quality is excellent top notch. Unfortunately that's it it's full of problems. Volume control is really bad slow when using tv remote better when i used a xbox as input still not good enough. Hdmi cec is a joke on this device if you are using more then one device. The UI and software is bad not enough customization and looks like software for 90s. It didn't do 4k 120h and sometimes just dosent display the xbox vedio on tv. Do not buy at full price not worth it i wouldn't pay anything above 300 for this

An Excellent Denon AV Receiver At A Great Price!
Denon makes great audio equipment, and this Denon AVR-S570BT is no exception. After 12+ years of daily, faithful use, my Pioneer AV receiver bit the dust. I researched many quality "budget" AV receivers (to make the wife happy...lol), to replace the Pioneer receiver, and a lot of reviews and recommendations came up with the Denon AVR-S570BT. This Denon AV receiver is very intuitive, and easy to setup. It also has a LOT of features in this lower price range. This Denon AV receiver powers all 5 of the passive, original Pioneer Andrew Jones Design speakers (the subwoofer is self-powered) in my 5.1 surround system very well, and with great clarity. No, this Denon AV receiver won't blow the roof off the house, but it does get very loud, even with inefficient speakers, as the Pioneer speakers are, with an 84 db to 87 db sensitivity rating. However, the Pioneer speakers are 6 ohm, so that helps to increase this Denon AV receiver to 90 watts per channel, instead of 70 watts per channel at 8 ohms. This Denon AV receiver also seems to run a lot cooler than the Pioneer receiver it replaced, especially at higher volumes. This Denon AV receiver has just enough "bells and whistles" for my needs, as I really don't need 7.2 surround capability, Dolby Atmos, or WiFi features that come with the more expensive Denon AV receivers. Although, the included Bluetooth connection does come in handy, and it works very well with Samsung Galaxy Smart Phones. The automatic speaker calibration and setup is pretty accurate, but it also allows tweaking to individual sound tastes. There are probably features and modes of this Denon AV receiver that I will never use, but it's nice to know they are included just in case I need them. Overall, I highly recommend this Denon AVR-S570BT for anyone that is looking for a high-quality "budget" AV receiver. Just know that it does not have all of the newest features of some of the more expensive Denon (and other brand) AV receivers. However, this Denon AV receiver serves its purpose for me quite well, and then some. Only time will tell regarding durability and longevity. However, Denon does make quality AV receivers, and if I can get the 12 years out of this Denon AV receiver that I did out of my previous Pioneer AV receiver, I will be a very happy camper. So-far-so-good, though.
