ICAN FL40 Pro 1320g Light Carbon Road Bike Wheelset 40mm Clincher Tubeless Ready Rim 25mm Wide Straight Pull Sapim CX-Ray Spoke

I am a fan of carbon wheels and have multiple sets - Zipp on my Triathlon bike, Enve on my CX bike and a set of Chinese rims doing great after 3 seasons of hard riding on my mountain bike. That gave me the confidence to purchase the ICAN wheels unseen except for Amazon reviews & photos.The wheels arrived very nicely packaged and equipped - the titanium skewers are elegant and effective and a nice surprise. I had not trouble mounting tubes and wheels - and the rims are very true after a few hundred miles of use. I very much like the wider rim with 25mm tires for improved ride quality.My only negative - and I think this is a fact of life with Carbon clinchers - is significantly worse braking vs aluminum rims. My cross and MTB both have disc brakes, and the Zipp wheels on my TT bike have an aluminum track, so this is my first experience with carbon rim brakes. I have read enough to know it would be worse - but I would say braking distance doubles vs average rim brakes. I’ve upgraded the included carbon pads from ICAN to SwissStop Black Prince carbon-specific pads and that made only minimal difference. The howling from hard braking has also defied my ability to remove it despite several attempts to true and tie the brake pads.I live in a relatively flat area and don’t ride in downtown style traffic often - but even so I may not keep these on my bike. I would not recxomend these for anybody who rides in those situations. I’m eager to try a ‘premium’ set of carbon clinchers on my bike for comparison - do Zipp or Enve brake better? I suspect not much...For most bikers - I would say either go with disc brakes if you want carbon wheels, or buy them with Aluminum brake tracks.

Same story as most here - needed a new set of rims, was tempted by the price point, read the reviews and pulled the trigger. I have 500 miles on these now and am happy so far. My observations:- Delivery was quick. Packaging was clean.- Out of the box most everything looked good. There was some scuffing on the brake track on one wheel. Wasn't sure if this was because of build quality, some time of testing/QC residue? Or someone had used/returned? Hasn't seemed to be a problem, so I guess it's not a big deal.- The wheels were fairly true, with a small hop in one (nothing beyond what you'd have after 1k of riding and not big enough to worry about).- Mounting Conti GP4000S II was very tight. I can not do this without tools, nor could the tire-mounting Jedis that I ride with.- Ride quality was fine. I'm not the most discriminating rider, but didn't feel a big different between these and my lightweight (Neugent/Neuvation) Al wheetsets.- They did pick up crosswinds, but nothing severe.- Braking was definitely worse with the included pads compared to Al rims & std pads. I may play with other pads to see if I can regain performance there. First time ever that my hands/forearms get pumped on a long descent.- Included skewers are very minimalist. I imagine there's some nice weight savings to be had, but worried about the strength/durabilty of such a design. Anyone out there using these?So, overall, I feel I got a good deal. Great looking carbon rims for a fraction of the price.

First off these wheels are far better then wheels I have that cost 3-4 times the price of these . They showed up packed very well and protected , each wheel was 100 % true and spun fast . For lack of a better word they were perfect ........except for the logo on the front wheel was a light grey and the rear was bright white , and since they actually paint the logos and don't use cheap stickers for the text on the wheels the only fix is to swap them . I reached out to ICAN directly (in China) and got a reply in about a hour (it was midnight there ) and Debby worked with me 100% they sent me a new set of wheels that were 100% perfect and it only took about 4 days total !!!! And I can't give enough kudos to Debby & ICAN they really care about they're customer and went above and beyond to help me , I was upset since my bike was new and wanted to ride it and if I had to send back the original wheels and wait for replacements I would not have been able to ride , so at no charge or cost to me they sent the new set ASAP and now I can send them back the original set . I also checked the claimed weight to the actual weight and claimed is 1400 grams for the set and my original set was 1412 the replacement set is 1421 just outstanding , truly . So if you want high quality , light weight aero wheels , these are the wheels to buy , I would give ICAN 10 stars if I could !!!!!

Erster Eindruck:Der Laufradsatz wurde in gut einer Woche geliefert aus England geliefert.Es fielen wie auf der Webseite beschrieben keine Zollgebühren oder ähnliches an.Mein Laufradsatz war in einem einwandfreien Zustand. Die Verarbeitung derCarbonfelgen zeigte keinerlei Mängel. Ein sauberes Finish. Auch die Zentrierung(Seite und Höhe) waren Erstklassig. Mitgeliefert wurden 50gr. leichte Titan-Schnellspanner,Carbon-Bremsbeläge sowie 2 x 14 mm breite passende Felgenbänder. Auch die Speichenspannungwar einwandfrei.Die Reifenmontage (Clincher-Falt):Ein großes Problem war jedoch die Reifenmontage. Neue Faltreifen von Schwalbe One in28mm Breite waren nicht zu montieren. Es zerbrachen 2 Reifenheber. Erst ein auf Alufelgebereits montierter Reifensatz (ebenfalls Schwalbe One 28mm) ließ sich sehr zäh mitBackofenerwärmung mühevoll über die Felge ziehen. Aber dann saßen die Reifen durch einenKlack beim aufpumpen hundertprozentig und absolut rundlaufend im Felgenbett. Ob SchwalbeOne oder Conti 4000er - es ist ein schwierige Montage, wie auch andere Reszensorenbemängeln. Allerdings taucht dieses Problem wohl auch bei anderen Hochprofil-Felgenherstellern(wie z.B. Mavic Cosmic) auf.Das Gewicht:Auf der Waage präsentiert sich das Wheelset perfekt. 622 gr. für das Vorderrad und763 gr. für das Hinterrad. Ergibt ein Laufradsatz-Gewicht von 1385 gr. (Ohne Schnellspannerund Felgenband (2 x 15 gr. leicht). Kompliment ICAN. Alle meine bisherigen Laufradsätze vonMavic und Campagnolo-Fulcrum waren teilweise (deutlich) schwerer als angegeben. Gegenüberanderen Markenherstellern von Carbonfelgen gleicher Höhe die das ein sehr guter Wert undeine faire Gewichtsangabe.Der Fahreigenschaften:Nach den ersten 7 Testfahrten von durchschnittlich ca. 80 km Länge keine spürbare Seiten-windempfinglichkeit der 40mm mittelhohen Felge. Kein Unterschied zu Zonda oder Fulcrum3 bis 7 oder Mavic Aksium. Etwas lauterer Leerlauf. Keine wahrnehmbare Windgeräusche auchbei hohen Tempo auf Abfahrten. Gefühl leichterer Lauf bei hohem Tempo. Sehr geschmeidiger Laufauf Kopfsteinpflaster oder schlechteren Straßenabschnitten. In Symbiose mit den 28er Puscheneine sehr komfortable Lösung für mein Marathon-Renner. Die mitgelieferten Bremsbacken für dieBasalt-Bremsfläche greifen ausreichend gut. Bei Regen/Nässe liegen noch keine Erfahrungen vor.Zudem gehe ich eh "vom Gas", wenn die Straßen nass sind.Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis:Markenhersteller verlangen für ähnlich aufgebaute Carbonfelgen mindestens das doppelte bis drei-fache dieses Preises. Nichts für mein Bike-Budget. Deswegen dieser Kaufentscheid. Kein Produktions-makel, gutes Gewicht, erstklassige Laufeigenschaften - schwierige Reifenmontage. Exzellente Preisleistung.Deshalb dennoch volle 5 Sterne-Bewertung aufgrund des Preises ( LS war im Angebot 9% ermäßigt).Haltbarkeit:Natürlich noch keine Aussage möglich. Die mehr beanspruchten Hinteräder der von mir benutztenMarken-Alu-Clincher hielten bei chrashfreier Laufzeit bis zu etwa 20 000 km, dann gab es sichtbar deutlichSeiten- und Höhen-Unwuchten. Im Laufe der Sommersaison werde ich mehr über die Qualität der Halt-barkeit hier nachliefern...Update: Im April 2018 montiert und bis Oktober ca. 6200 gefahren. Keine Probleme, kein Seiten- oder Höhe-schlag, trotz robuster Fahrweise.Also Haltbarkeit auch sehr gut.

Las ruedas vinieron con un mal centrado que a la hora de frenar bajando hace que no sea una frenada regular, de tal forma que al pasar por dicha zona descentrada frena mucho más que el resto. Es una frenada "a golpes". No sé si este problema hará que se desgaste la pista de freno antes en ese punto. En cuanto a los radios, son planos y deberían venir perfectamente alineados, cosa que no ocurre en mis ruedas. Para el precio que tienen, no esperaba este tipo de fallos. Descontento

Die Lieferung war nach 5 Tagen da. Es wurde aus England versand. Die Gewichtsangabe stimmt bis auf 3g genau. Das ist Top! Von der Verarbeitung her macht dieser Laufradsatz einen sehr guten Eindruck . Keine Seiten und Höhenschläge. Das Aufziehen meiner Continental gp 4000 rs war schwierig,aber möglich . Die Reifen haben eine Bereite von 25mm und fallen auf der Felge etwas breiter aus .27mm. Auf Grund der Witterung kann ich noch nicht's über die Fahreigenschafften berichten.

Nada que envidiar a ruedas de mucho mayor precio. Llegaron perfectamente empacadas. Estética y acabados excelentes. Montadas con neumáticos Tubeless y líquido antipinchazos y no he tenido ningún problema en más de 2000 km. Los bujes ruedan espectacular y el peso es justo el que publicitan. Lo mejor el servicio de atención al cliente que funciona a la perfección, dando respuestas y soluciones rápidas. Totalmente recomendables

Der Laufradsatz war innerhalb ein paar Tage da (kam aus UK, und ich hatte keine Zollgebühren). Die Laufräder sind perfekt zentriert, und die Speichenspannung ist ebenfalls gut und gleichmäßig. Gewicht passt genau - wie angegeben. Die breite Felge ist angenehm zu fahren, und gut aussehen tuen sie auch noch! Für mich hat sich die Anschaffung gelohnt!
