The sound quality is superb. Definitely better than my previous sax. The keys feel great, and the overall quality is quite impressive. The reason this gets three stars is because low C is the lowest note that this sax can play, and high D is the highest note. The keys are there, and the fingering is possible, but I can't get anything other than horrible screeching. I don't know if it's the saxophone itself or the mouthpiece. If it wasn't for this problem, this sax would get five stars.EDIT: I changed it to five stars; it turns out that one of the keys was not sealing properly, hence the screeching. I plan to just get it fixed at a local music store. This is definitely a saxophone worth purchasing if you have a low budget.

So I bought this saxophone for our son back in June who was going into 5th grade. His teacher said it seemed to be a good quality instrument which of course made us happy that we saved so much over the school prices. Unfortunately, 9 months later the saxophone got dropped down the stairs at school and the soft case proved insufficient to protect it from such abuse. We sent it to the local repair shop who in turn sent it to the regional repair shop who said that it could not be fixed. We were already afraid of what it would cost to fix but now it seemed a total loss. In a last ditch effort, contacted Herche and told them this story. I didn't pay much attention during the purchase, but they told me to ship it to them as they have a 1 year accidental damage warranty. End of the story is they repaired it, replaced some parts, and sent a new case free of charge. Super impressed with this seller and customer service! The only advise I would give is to consider buying a hard case for more protection if a student will be using this. Our case just came today so this doesn't happen again.

This saxophone was an excellent purchase for my son. He's a member of his school band, it sounds great. It is a very durable instrument and it arrived in excellent condition. I highly recommend this for beginners like my son. The sound quality is fantastic and it's still in excellent condition today, 3 years later.

Bought this sax for my daughter who plays a few instruments. We experienced some trouble with getting the sax in tune. I reached out to the seller and they provided some guidance and also sent us a different mouthpiece for the instrument.Couldn't be happier with the instrument or the customer service. Top notch!

Loved this saxophone at first site, though many parts of the saxophone were brought with many build errors and damaged areas such as scratches. The leather padding under the keys would not completely seal which forced me to press down with much more force. Some parts did not connect correctly and some nails were hanging and the sharp key over the thumb hold was extremely hard to press. It became near impossible to play any notes lower than an E. Sadly over the last few weeks it was unbearable as it squeaked all the time and had air leaks. This may not be the deal with every saxophone you produce. I'm currently in a marching band and plan to practice at home, but when this product is already having so many issues with only nearly 3-4 weeks of use, I cant use this and have sent a refund of my money due to this.

This was a surprise gift for my father-in-law. He loves it and it was a great quality sax! No complaints, and the price was good too.

Beautiful looking horn, but every note was out of tune. A G sounded like a G#, An F like a F#, An E like an F.It was not set up properly, but I returned it and bought a Jean Paul. Too bad because at first glance, I loved it.

I bought this for my daughter and she loves it. It comes with everything as described. Nice color and easy to play for beginners.
