COLOR WOW Raise the Root – Thicken & Lift Spray

My roots go flat within a couple of hours, especially on top, so I've tried a lot of sprays. This one actually delivers. What I like: • A few spritzes at the roots on damp hair gave me visible lift once I blow-dried. • My hair looks thicker and fuller without feeling heavy or coated. • Held its shape all day, even through a commute and a windy walk. • No sticky or stiff feeling, and I can brush it out without flakes. • The fine mist spreads evenly, so no clumps or wet spots. What could be better: • Price is on the higher side. • Overspraying can make roots feel a bit tacky, so go light. Tip: Section your hair and spray directly at the root, then blow-dry with a round brush, lifting upward as you go. If you have fine, flat, or thinning hair and want a boost that looks natural, I'd recommend it. Already planning to buy another bottle.

This is a simple spray bottle that you can use to spray the liquid on the roots of your bangs to make them thicker and fuller and to lift the hair so it just looks better! With aging can come a thinning of the hair in the bangs area. I know I suffer from it and was at a loss as to what to do. Then I found this and it helps with the texture of the hair and seems effective to strengthen the roots so when you blow dry your bangs it improves your appearance. If you have oily hair you will appreciate this even more as it doesn't add a lot of oils and moisture like some mousse products can. My bangs are the first thing to get oily a day after a shower and it is annoying to be honest. This does something to help with that problem as well although I don't know the exact mechanism only the results. So your hair will just look healthier longer! Works great! Disappointing the size. Not much in there for the price! Didn’t pay attention to the size. Thought it was a bit bigger. That was my fault. The product was fine but very costly!

I HAVE THIN HAIR AND THIS GIVES ME SOME BODY. NOTHING LIKE THEIR ADS, BUT I'M HAPPY WITH IT. THE BOTTLE WAS VERY SMALL SO YOU COULDN'T USE ENOUGH TO GET THE RESULTS SHOWN ON THE ADS.

I never received my product from ordering here and had to get it some place else. I did, however, want to write a product review based on my experience anyway. It feels like a texturing product. I definitely did not get the dramatic experiences people are showing online and maybe it's because I used it sparingly for a couple of factors. I read reviews that it can be very stiff and has a very strong fragrance which I can't tolerate with anything. I applied it to the roots of each section of damp hair and then combed it in before applying the heat of the blow dryer. Without the product, I can get lift but that lift drops within 10 minutes especially in southern humidity. I typically can't have product in my hair since it is so fine and anything makes it heavy. This product was light, based on my usage, and I did not experience stiffness. It did not feel like hairspray. However, I did not use a ton on my roots and I can feel that if I used anymore product than I did then it would probably be too heavy and wouldn't work. I did experience a little more lift than I normally would after a blow dry and it did drop a bit 10 minutes in. So, my experience is that it works to an extent. A few reviews indicated that the fragrance was so strong that it gave them a migraine. I used this on a day where I had a migraine with the assumption that, if it got worse, I would wash it out promptly. It did not make my migraine worse. I do REALLY wish they made a fragrance free version of this. There is really no need to add fragrance to things unless you are hiding something in the ingredients. By midday, the product stopped working and my hair went back to how it always is.

I have thick, fine hair and I wear it short. I’ve tried so many products, including loads of mousses, to keep volume at the top of my hair the way it looks when my stylist dries it. I’ve never been able to use a round brush - just too uncoordinated, I guess. I was recommended this product by, of all things, ChatGPT. I asked for an evaluation of a product I have been seeing advertised that spring right up when you spray it on. We worked our way through exactly what I needed and Raise the Root was something he/she thought would work the best for my hair. And it does! I just spray it on the top of my head and work it in. It’s activated by heat so I start drying as I usually do and I get a really nice rise in the top of my hair that lasts till my next shampoo. In fact, at times it looks even better the next day? You can get a travel size that’s cheaper to see if you like it. I did and I’m going to order the full size.

After only a few hours, the product becomes very gritty feeling, and your hair will feel dry and porous to the touch. If you read the ingredients, the first one is denatured alcohol. The rest are other chemicals like polymers. The next morning after using it, my hair felt gummy at the roots where the product had been applied, and it looked dry and dull. My scalp also felt itchy. I didn’t want to risk any further damage or breakage, so I immediately tried to shampoo it out. When I got my hair wet in the shower, it felt weird to the touch, like it had something bonded to it. The first shampoo didn’t remove the buildup or icky coated feeling. I shampooed a second time, something I never do, and it started to feel slightly better, but I could still feel something wasn’t right with my hair. Usually after shampooing, it feels clean and smooth. I didn’t want to do a third shampoo, so I used my regular conditioner and hoped for the best . After blowdrying my hair, it still looked dull and had none of its regular shine or softness which is not at all how my hair usually looks and feels after washing it. The gritty, gummy, feeling at the roots was gone and so was the itching, but my hair still doesn’t feel like it did before I used this product. It definitely damaged my hair. I wish I had checked out the ingredients more thoroughly before buying it. I noted that most of the reviewers who posted a photo or video did so immediately after styling, following their first use of the product, which is when it looks and feels its best. After only a few hours of being in your hair, that’s when the damaging effects will start to appear. This product is getting super over-hyped on social media by influencers. please don’t make the same mistake I did and fall for it . If you need lift at the roots, just use a good quality hairspray and styling products. I reached out to ColorWow with my concerns, and they offered to exchange this product for a different one if I return it. However, after reviewing the list of similar sounding ingredients in their other formulations, I’m going to take the financial hit and the lesson to be more careful in the future. I spent $25 on some thing that is genuinely terrible and should be pulled from the market.

This little product carries a big punch! Works very well at lifting roots and giving height and volume.

This product is really good for fine hair, it contains alcohol so it’s a bit drying, but it really thickens hair! I only use a few sprays at the crown & massage it in. After watching their review videos I almost didn’t buy it, they were no convincing at all! But I’m glad I tried this-I Highly recommend WOW raise the root

El spray más malo y caro que he comprado. No para mi tipo de cabello es lacio y le quería dar un poco de volumen, la sensación es de rigidez en el pelo sin aportar volumen.

This is a great product, especially for fine hair. I use it before blow drying, scrunching for curl diffusing, or in dry hair for a “second day” look. I also use it with my fingers vs spraying on to refresh / add texture wave and curly styles. A little goes a long way. It can feel sticky on the hands but not on your hair if you use it sparingly. As with any product, I advise starting small and building on the amount until you have the fullness or texturing that you want.

Il porte bien son nom wow ! Donne un très beau volume , facile à appliquer et à travailler au séchage . N alourdis et ne graisse pas les cheveux . Je l applique après chaque shampooing et mes cheveux sont beaucoup plus volumineux et ma coiffure dure plus longtemps .
