A great product for a great price!
I just received my Enforcer, and I have to say that this speaker rocks. I'm using it in my home audio system, replacing a 15 year old powered 10" sub. Now, I realize that this isn't the intended use, but it's perfect in this role. It delivers a nice solid bass that the 10" just couldn't and doesn't sound flat or muddy like the 10" did. It truly can shake the whole house, but I have it cranked way down to keep things balanced. The unit is very well built and very heavy - the Seismic Audio site says 98 lbs, and my scale showed 104 lbs. You will definitely want some help moving it around. As far as power goes, some reviewed it as under powered, and that could be true. I don't think that the amp is capable of delivering 1200W RMS, but that said, I did some very simple wattage tests using my current meter, and when presented with some bass heavy music, I had it drawing about 300W with minimal clipping. I know that this isn't a very scientific or accurate test, but it gave me an idea of what it is able to do, and for me, that is way more than enough power. It can probably be tweaked and EQ'd to deliver more, but again, it's way overkill for my application. The active cooling inside the box is a nice touch, but it seems to introduce just a tiny bit of noise on the audio path. That isn't a big deal, as the frequency of the noise is attenuated somewhat by the nature of the 18" speaker, plus you can't hear it at all with music playing, even at the lowest volumes.I would definitely recommend this sub to anyone who is on a budget and looking for a quality speaker. Thanks Seismic Audio!!

Seismic Customer Service
I am waiting on my 2 18" Enforcers II. I hope they put out the 2,400 RMS that I expect. I have two of the 18" anti shocks but not enough thump for me. But they are decent.... I LOVE Seismic customer service Brad and Jim always immediately address my concerns when I call them with an issue with a product.

When it does peak it doesn't do so gracefully and frankly it sounds bad. 2
While functional I have to primary complaints about this item:1. It's just not very loud. It peaks at a fairly low volume, I bought this for home theater purposes and it peaks while watching movies. When it does peak it doesn't do so gracefully and frankly it sounds bad.2. The fan included in these particular speakers seems to make a fairly loud noise, this noise seems to transfer to the amplifier's output and indeed wind up amplified within the unit. This means the sub actually plays the fan noise.Going to try and return this item, and try an alternative.

Planted reviews
Most of the reviews here are placed by Seismic Audio. Don't believe them. Go to there website and you will see some of the exact same reviews. You will also notice most of the reviews are from people that have reviews for a lot of Seismic Audio products. A little suspicious I would say. These speakers are mediocre at best. They have about an $80 woofer and a $100 amp. That's why they can sell them so cheap. I would consider these speakers as woofers and not sub woofers. They have horrible amplifiers that have no real punch. Sloppy distorted bass with no real low end. Really, what kind of subwoofer even lets you crossover at 800hz. I would say that these things are flat down to about 55hz and taper off from there. I can get that from a good two-way. I wouldn't trust the wattage rating on these either. I have heard subwoofers with half the wattage that had more volume and a hell of a lot more punch. If you want cheap speakers Berringer products seem to be a whole lot better. BTW, I submitted a less harsh review at Seismic Audio and they wouldn't publish it to there site. They only publish 4 star or above reviews. Don't trust this company. I got burnt you don't have to.

simply awesome
I DJ as a hobby actually a sound man and pretty picky and I set up my system with the lower cost items but what a sound I love the full band sound I get with my system my patrons appreciate the sound quality also. This sub does the job it was purchased to do and at a substantial savings.

Great Home theater sub but not PRO Gear even though sold as that
Over all a good deal but it doesn't reach its advertised specs in terms of power and low frequency response for a live sound reinforcement tool. I have a pro level PA rig with 15 inch mains and thought a 18 inch 1200 watt sub would add some additional low end extension, punch, and rumble- in short it does NOT. My mains are rated at 1000 watts each and to even hear the sub I have to back them down to 1/3 line in max output- yes the sub will definitely move some air but it does it way to quietly for live sound sub. I was using my PA rig (with sub) for a band - following the event I realized the power outlet to the sub had been disconnected and used by one of the band members during sound check and never reconnected to our surprise we did not miss the sub. I was sort of relieved because I no longer needed to lug this 105 pound box to gigs. Now what to do? I put it in my home theater and it is absolutely, radically insane as a home theater sub. My home theater consist of high-end, high powered studio monitors with a great surround processor - this sub took the theater to the next level. I was using 2 $1,000 dollar consumer grade subs and this 1 sub does much better in that room- it will go as loud as you want to in a home theater setting. It might be that the sub needs a much higher input gain then I realized and it also needs a dedicated cross over upstream as it lets too much high frequency pass through. If you drive it hard (high input gain) and cross it as 45 it can do some damage in a home theater. The cabinet lets a lot air out the back through the ins/outs and seams where the amp meets the wood and the fan could be quieter so if you tweak those then cab noise can be manageable. No need to beat up Seismic as I know of no other product in its price range pitched as pro gear. SO I'm glad I bought it. I do not work for any equipment manufactures.
