Decent
For beginners, this might not be the best thing to go for. Scar wax works okay but can be a bit thick and a bit awkward to work with, so I'd always recommend something like latex any day, IF it's suitable to use. Otherwise, you get a good amount for your money here, and it *does* work for most things - as with all make-up and effects, it's much easier the more experience you have with it - but beware that, if you're a novice, you may find this a bit of a pain. Works exactly as instructed, however.

Tricky to work with
This is our first exposure to scar wax, having mainly used liquid latex previously.I've read that many people have a latex allergy, in fact I know this as I work with someone who can only use nitrile-based gloves, but are able to work with "scar wax".Working with latex is as easy as squirting it out and layering and crafting it. This scar wax is a little trickier to use - it didn't help that it was delivered with a sticker across the bottom which I had to remove so I could twist it up as it was used at the top, much like a lipstick. Stays fairly pliable but the tutorials we looked at suggest using this together with latex to give it a better grip. We've been getting into this FX makeup, the daughter and I, but we've still so much to learn.I'm still a little intimidated by the wax, but I will say the price is a bit much for one stick, but if you buy the multi-pack it becomes a lot more reasonable. Maybe buy one to try and see if you like it.

Not great
Yes it does what it says but without a lot of work to match edges this is not going to get that stage / cosplay / halloween look that you might be after. If you have the extra cosmetics to create the blended edges for the effect you are after then you have probably moved beyond buying a product like this.OK as a way to play with the effect and see if it is what you want to acheieve but expect to want something better quite soon

Great for Halloween
This looks like a crayon - white and waxy. It takes a while for it to start coming off, but once it does you can shade your face/skin to make a spooky design. This looks great against black eye pencil for making stitches, scars etc. It will also last much longer than the cheaper halloween makeup sets which always seem to be discarded each year.

Son isn't impressed
This is scar wax on a stick basically. I gave it my son who is very creative with this stuff. He tried to use it and gave it me back within 5 minutes. He much prefers making scar wax with flour and vaseline. Says its easier to mould. I won't buy this product. Quite disappointed.
