Well made
I just received this, and haven’t flown with it yet, although, I really bought it more for every day “leaving the house” use. I prefer a lot of pockets so that my ID is always on me, and I don’t have to lug a large purse that can get stolen off a grocery cart, or grabbed in a parking lot. I need to carry a lot of items for health reasons, and because I like to be prepared. This vest is adequately sized so that with the pockets filled it still fits. There are markings by all the interior pockets to designate what the pocket is designed for, although of course, how you use them is personal choice. It has pockets designated for a camera with a separate little pocket to securely hold an SD card so that it is not lost in the depth of the pocket. I don’t normally carry that sort of thing, so emergency meds will probably go there. The RFID pouch which is removable for washing, is much more roomy than I expected which is wonderful because I carry a lot of cards (credit, Real ID, membership/entry cards) with magnetic strips. It certainly seems solidly constructed, the holiday travel/shopping season will be the test, and only time will be the judge.

Awesome Vest!
I wore this vest when I traveled to Australia from the U.S. and back last summer. It has so many pockets - it's like having an extra purse, except you wear it. When I boarded the plane for Australia, I was able to wear my vest (stuffed with all of the items I normally have in my purse) and take two carry-on bags with me on the plane. I especially like the RFID pocket as well as the hotel key pocket - very handy. I also like the little cloth that's attached to the inside of the pocket by a cord inside the area where you stow your glasses. It not only cleans your glasses, but it has a map of all the pockets written on it. The designers of these vests are very clever and creative. Fits and looks great! It's well worth the price I paid for it.

Good for travel though too many useless loops
Bought this for traveling oversees. Since international luggage requirements are pretry small only 10 kg per bag, I needed to ditch the purse. My friend has his vest in menst XXL and he loves it. So I bought one.It advertises 16 pockets, but it really only has 7 usefull usable pockets. They are 2 in the front on the vest, 4 on the inside, and the phone pocket on the inside.I also used the pen "pocket", and the plastic wire holder thingy and pocket for ear buds. There is an ID/card pocket that you could use but the velcrow enclosure is not great.I wish the "tablet/iPad" pocket was on the other side. When I put my phone in the phone pocket and my kindle in the "iPad" pocket, that side of the vest was heavy and hanging wierd on my shoulder because of the weight misdistribution. I ended up putting my passport in the the opposite side pocket, and that sort of solved the weight issue. There are multiple wierd loops, and tiny pockets inside different pockets, which I found totally useless. There is a supposed elastic band to hold a water bottle, but it could only maybe hold a 6 to 8 oz tiny water bottle. And it would then take up the whole pocket. The glasses hole pocket was totally useless for the glasses. When you put one ear spike into it the other would unfold. But you could use that hole pocket as a pen holder. The pocket on the back of the vest was useless. Couldn't think of anything I'd put there. It would have to be something super thin and super flat. Maybe some extra scratch paper. When I had everything loaded into the vest it felt a bit lumpy and bulky on my body. It didn't look too lumpy though, unless I wore a thick sweater underneath it.This vest is very expensive.I found it overpriced and overadvertized for the actual functionality. If ScotteVest seamstresses and clothes designers read this please redesign the pockets. Remove the useless tiny hoops and holes. Or at the very least don't advertise those as pockets, they are not pockets.I'd only recommend this vest to someone who is comfortable spending almost 200 bucks for an OK product.I will keep it and make the best of it, but it definitely could use better usability testing and improvemnets.

The Perfect Travel Vest!
I bought this on the recommendation of a woman who travels constantly. It is solid on the outside, but has lots of inside pockets to protect money, passport, etc. Yes, it's a little expensive, but I'm planning to use it on my upcoming international trips and I think it will be perfect! Easier than carrying a purse, or moneybelt.

Not what I expected
I was so excited - so sure this was the answer to my travel needs! Alas, 18 pockets? please. Easily 4 of them only fit a few coins - can't even imagine what they're for. I own a Surface Pro7 and it does not fit, so I stuck an 8.5"x6" notebook in that slot. You can see from my photo that I only got 8 items into the vest. The small purple notebook is essentially the same size as my iPhone7 but I couldn't put that in and still take photos. The "water bottle" is not my water bottle (which wouldn't fit) - it's just 12oz. The sunglasses in the breast pocket is very uncomfortable. Yes, I'm using a soft case - of course I'm using a case, my glasses are prescription and $450, I'm not putting them in a pocket without a case! The RFID passport pocket is super small - just fits the passport by itself - nothing else. If your passport is in a wallet, it will not fit. In my photo you can see I put a card & coin case in there - that's all that would fit. Had to put my wallet in another pocket.Yes, there is a pocket on the back but again, my Surface Pro7 doesn't fit so.... what are you supposed to put back there? My orange notebook fit, but the only way to get something out is to take off the entire vest. The vest is so attractive on its own. As soon as you put stuff in it, however, it looks awful. Honestly, I look like I've been shop lifting. More importantly though is that it's just not comfortable once I put these 8 items in it. I had hoped I could wear this on the plane to Italy and not worry about my valuables during that 11 hour flight. But I can't imagine walking around in it for hours, let alone trying to relax or sleep in it. For the cost, I really don't think it's worth it. I think I'm probably better off just getting a Pacsafe backpack or bag.
