Doesn't seem to have any colour and makes hair dry
I think this is a poor quality product. Doesn't seem to have any colour and makes hair dry and coarse.

Did not work for me
Henna and Indigo always work well for me especially when I do the two step process. I wanted to try Katam because I hate the smell of Indigo and thought the Katam might be a warmer tone. I tried it in the usual two step process and it didn't take at all. It looked like I still only had done the henna step. Strangely it smelled like Indigo to me too so didn't really help that either and I’m not sure if it was mislabeled. But if it was Indigo it should’ve also worked as other brands do work. I also bought this brand elsewhere not on amazon so not sure if that had anything to do with it but it was the same brand and label as this one. I think one thing also with Indigo you should not wait 20 minutes if you mix it you should apply right away after 20 mins its less effective thats what I’ve seen in the past and the sooner the better so not sure if the instructions on this are wrong it says to wait 20 minutes after mixing before applying. Either way its really a waste of time and energy to not get proper instructions and results so wont be trying this brand again. Hope others have better luck!

Good natural plant powder for coloring hair!
this is a really good product but you MUST know exactly how to use it or it will fail you big time. Instructions for making the powder into a liquid are on the package, but that doesn't tell you how to mix it or use it on your hair, that's why I can't give five stars. I'm going to save you a lot of time and frustration. Go to the HennaForHair website and follow the same directions for how to use Indigo powder. It must be liquified in plain water for 20 min, separately from henna, before being added to henna. Watch the Beautylicious videos online to figure out how much katam you should use in your henna mix, as it depends on how much you want to "brown down" henna's orange hue. Katam works much like Indigo, it's just a bit warmer (more purple) rather than cooler (blue), and a bit lighter. It's a better choice for those who want to mix warmer brown hair colors, rather than ash brown. This is a PURPLE hair stain that actually has no power to dye your hair unless you mix it with henna (Lawsonia), which will allow you to create beautiful copper, cinnamon, or brown hair colors without chemicals! But katam and indigo are very finicky so educate yourself first, and do a strand test! You can even get very dark brown or black hair with katam if you do a two-step process. I use a "recipe" of 75% henna (dye released with something slightly acidic like apple juice) and 25% katam to get a gorgeous and permanent cinnamon red-brown color on my natural hair, which is 'salt and pepper' (gray and dark brown).

Salvifico
