It's made of sandalwood and is actually a hair comb but nonetheless it's still useful. Comb and heddle are good quality for price.

This is a good little shuttle for my windhaven small looms, perfect size.Would buy again.

As others put in their reviews, these looms do not stay together and are pretty much impossible to use. You can try to tie the corners together to make them more stable, but they are not cut properly so they don’t actually fit together right. There are other similar products out there that are better. These are cheaper, but it shows and they are not worth it because you can’t even use them.

I don't use the Chinese comb, though. Probably for weaving. I used the shuttle for making a pom pom blanket.

Yes, it is a very inexpensive loom and you get what you pay for. I wasn't expecting a top of the line loom BUT it is sufficient enough to use and see if it's something that I'd be interested in enough to invest on a really nice one. To actually put it together I found the wood slots where you put the other piece of wood into it were not wide enough and it wouldn't fit. All I did was lightly hammer the end to where it fits into the other piece of wood to make it thinner and it fit right in. I hope I explained that enough that you get the general idea. Was it worth the money? Absolutely if your trying to decide if this is something you would like to do before spending a lot on another hobby. And no, I wasn't paid or given this to write this review.

I got this little loom to learn how to weave before getting a big expensive one. It came with no instructions, not even a simple explanation to let you know what all the parts are for let alone how to weave. I'm sure its easy for people with prior experience but a bit difficult for a n00b.
