I was a little sceptical given the price of this compared to others I'd looked at. Yes, the handle is a little flimsy, but I am only using it in a 4-6 person Lay-z-ee Spa hot tub, so no great depth of water, and I leave one pole section out.I'm no expert, but I guess suction power would likely depend on your local water pressure. I'm using an expandable hose, and it delivers a greater end pressure than a standard garden hose, so for me, 5 stars here.When I'd finished and removed the catcher net to empty it, I was (pleasantly) surprised to see that not only had it sucked up all the dark bits from the bottom and around the edges that I could see, it had also collected a lot of small, white granules that I couldn't.The only small downside is that the thread on hose connector supplied "stripped" when I did it up tight, and so leaked badly. I substituted it with a 99p one from Wilko and I was "good to go".All in all, if you will only use this once or twice during the year, and in a relatively small and shallow spa/pool, you won't go far wrong.If you have an Olympic sized one, save your money and put it towards employing a Pool Boy instead!

It sort of works picks up some debris but leaves some behind.

This was a nice affordable cleaner for my hot tub. Easy enough to use. No instructions but simple enough to figure out.
