It grows with your child--not physically, but becoming a distitnctly different mattress when turned over from the baby and crib side to the cooler feeling, copper infused side for your toddler's first bed.The mattress comes with a moisture resistant cover to keep it in good shape for down the line when you want to convert the crib into a toddler bed.Comfortable and firm on the baby, side, cool and softer on the child side, this is a good replacment for the thin starter mattress that sometimes comes with cribs. When I first got this mattress, I didn't really understand what the product meant by "2 in 1".After having my toddler test it out, I am glad I splurged on this mattress. We have a 2nd hand mattress but this is way better than that. This mattress has 2 sides of softness. One side which is slightly firmer and other side which is slightly softer. So depending on how old your toddler is, you can decide on which side to flip the mattress.I bought a waterproof casing so that when my toddler is potty training, this mattress will be saved. I'm thinking that after my toddler has grown out of this mattress, I intend to repurpose it to an outdoor sofa seat. That will be many years down the road and I've faith that this mattress will withstand the test of time.I highly recommend this mattress. Thanks!
