Eheim2411020 Biopower 160 Interior Filter with Pre-Filter Cartridge and Substrate Pro

This is such a great internal filter. So easy to clean and set up. There's really only two parts you need to clean often and that's the sponge at the bottom of the stack and one just under the pump head, plus replacement are easy to get and cheap enough. The other two in the stack should just be left to let good bacteria build up. All you have to do to separate the the stack is pull out the orange clips and it pulls apart to reveal the media. Sorry about the water quality in vid the tank is full of bronze corydorus that I've bred and I've just fed them they are messy feeders but this filter will soon sort that out believe me I've also got two externals running. If you want a calmer tank you can slow the flow rate with the switch on top just turn. Over all a great filter.

I bought this to replace a faulty fluval u4 and have to say I am most impressed with the quality and customer service Eheim offers. The filter comes with 4 baskets so you can use whatever media you like, it rotates 360degrees and comes with Venturi and spray bar attachments. My only gripes are that the suckers to attach to the tank are very,very poor and not able to hold the weight of the filter at all so it slides down the tank, it's really extremely annoying. You also need to squeeze out the sponges every week or flow is reduced. Other than that I'm very happy with this internal.However, please be extremely wary of purchasing from Amazon, as they offer no warranty support at all, and eheim advised me that they do not normally allow companies that fail to supply excellent aftercare to sell their products. My filter arrived with missing items and Amazon were not able to rectify the matter. However, I did contact eheim who immediately sent out the missing items to me and I was very pleased with their aftercare.

Not set up yet as for new bigger tank. (Old tank currently has power ball pump and is easy to clean. Flow fantastic and a few years old). Biopower pump is bigger and bio load filters are like external pump (has bio material- better bacteria collected). It also has spare clips for basket which will be handy I am sure. Hopeful it will impress me. Order was easy and arrived on time.

Have had 2 of these [one a smaller version] for years. Runs very well and is quiet. I bought it when a second external filter leaked damaging the tank cabinet. I like the ability to put different filter media in the baskets, like external filters, without the risk of leaks.
