My dog abandoned all her other beds when we started getting these for her. I was a little worried about the quality of the bed because when we first got it (about three months ago) the fabric seemed really thin, but she hasn't managed to destroy it yet (and she's a chewer) and it isn't showing any excessive wear - it even looks clean after all this time and doesn't show dirt.The dome doesn't stay up on its own, so if your dog isn't a burrower that may be an issue, but if you have a pooch that likes to dig around in blankets to get comfy this will be a great option. We also found that if you roll up a fleece blanket and tuck it in the corner of the opening it'll stay a bit more open so non-digging doggies can snuggle in too.It is NOT big enough to fit a full grown beagle like the photo suggests, but our little dog (she's about 19 inches long and 15 inches tall, and weighs almost fifteen pounds) fits great.

I love this dog bed. I have a small chihuahua who loves being in enclosed "cave-like" areas, so when I found this bed I thought it was perfect for my dog and I was right. My dog LOVES this bed. Since we received it, almost a year ago, he spends all of his time here. The top part has a zipper so you can easily take it off and wash it. My dog does like to dig and he has dug in this bed causing a hole which now leaks out the filling when I wash it. However, I think that the hole is more of a reflection of my dogs strong desire to dig rather than a reflection of quality of the product. This dog bed was much more affordable than many others I researched and is of very good quality. I will definitely buy this bed again for my dog.

I purchased this for my cat for Christmas but gave it to him before. I had previously bought a bed sack for my deceased cat who just loved it & I thought this cat would take to this as much & as fast too. Not so. What I had before was lined with sheep's wool. This is lined with sherpa & he can't stand the feel of it. He also was afraid of the lid & wouldn't go near it when the lid was zipped on so it sat there for a few months untouched. I decided to try something one day & just put a baby blanket it there. He got on the baby blanket but stayed outside the lid. Aha! I was on to something! I unzipped the lid off, spread the baby blanket over the whole thing so all the sherpa was covered. He loves it now and sleeps with several toys there. Since, I didn't have the invoice (I ordered it) & couldn't send it back I'm glad I found a solution since I'm in a very cold apartment. I'm very disappointed & will not recommend it. Maybe if you made it with sheep's wool instead of sherpa, it would've gone much better. I should've gone to PetSmart & got a bed sack like my previous cat had.

I have bought many of these dog beds over the years & have been very satisfied. This one is a piece of crap. It came in a very small box. The others I have purchased always came with a very nice pillow/cushion fairly firm and easy to clean. What I rec'd was a mesh sack with chunks of foam rubber & long strands of black human hair that were melted together. Nothing like the ones I bought before. So I kept the red fleece cover and used the pillow/cushion from one of the old ones I had. CHEAP....CHEAP!!! I think I will order my next red dog bed from the Harriet Carter catalog like I use to.

This is the perfect snuggle bed for my 16 pound dachshund. He could hardly wait for us to unpack it before he crawled in.The top has a half zipper and when it's closed it forms a perfect dome for Tiki to peak out. The bottom cover zips off for washing. I washed and dried top and bottom and they came out perfectly. This is a great bed for a small medium dog who loves to snuggle in. The fleece is very soft. There is room to slip extra padding inside the bottom cover for extra comfort.

Little smaller than I thought it would be. The picture of the beagle made it look bigger to me as we have a Boston Terrier / Bassett Mix and I thought they'd be about the same. However, it was really too small for him, but he does use it. His head hangs off though, and he's too big for the canopy. I'd recommend those looking to purchase default for a larger size if any question.

This type of bed costs so much more everywhere else I looked. I have three small dogs and they all love to be under blankets and burrow. I have read reviews of people complaining that the top part of this bed comes down and does not stay up but to me that is the whole purpose of this bed! You want the top to act as a blanket and the dogs want to feel it laying on them like a blanket. At least for my dogs this is just perfect. I could have had one half this size and it would have still been big enough but that is ok. The quality is great and I would most definitely get another one!

I ordered 2 of these and I knew they were going to be a little small from reading other reviews, but my dogs curl up so I thought they would still like them, and if they didn't, well the price isn't too bad that it would be heartbreaking. Our Beagle/Jack Russel mix loves going under covers so I thought this would be perfect for him. The cover is a little smaller than I hoped but he is able to nose his way under and get a bit of himself covered up. I was a little worried about our older dog, a Westie. He has a hard time getting into some beds but has no trouble with this one, I also unzipped the cover so he can get on the bed without getting tripped up (great feature, having the zipper!). I did notice on one of the beds that the dogs were able to move the stuffing around to make a bit of an indent to lay in. We have only had these a few days but so far the beds are holding up to the dogs digging around on them and the boys seem to really love them. I have them next to the fireplace and I am pretty sure the boys think they are close to Heaven :)
