Compelling Read!
Anyone who loves wildlife will enjoy this incredible book, full of useful information too, love the facts and timeline of swans.Dan has used his knowledge through first hand experience on a lot of occasions and this is shared with the reader. This book is brutal at times with cold hard facts of how nature and Man are cruel, but in turn I think this is useful for the reader to understand how difficult it is for our birds.Swans are beautiful, intelligent and friendly, sometimes aggressive when feeling threatened and Dan explains this so eloquently! Thank you Dan for giving our Swans a voice!

Superb read
I loved getting to know the Swan, my favourite bird to come across on my daily dog walks. Soon after starting to read this book i realised I really didn't know much about this beautiful creature at all. Now I appreciate the glorious white beasts floating along the canal even more. The author beautifully shares facts, anecdotes and his own appreciation and experiences with the Swan. I'd recommend this book to anyone who has ever stopped to admire the swan on their walk. Enjoy.

I’m not sure you even need to be very interested in Swans to like this book but if you are it’s probably even better. It’s really interesting and engaging, full of fascinating facts in a really easy read style

Not my normal read but -
I opened this book and started to read ; the next thing I knew I was half way through this book. It keeps your interest by interspacing the folklaw and history of the swan and meetings with the author whose enthusiasm shines throughout the book. Whether you are interested in swans or not , you will never look at them the same way again. A good read.
