Snake Eye Tactical German Fighter WWII M3 Army Bayonet

This was a gift for someone who likes knives. He was thrilled, and I'm very happy to have picked up on his mention of the knife in a short conversation.

Does not fit an M1 Carbine

I think the bayonet is generally good as a knife, however when attaching it to my M1 Carbine it is very loose and spins a lot because it does not grip the bayonet mount tightly. It does work as a display piece and it could also be my M1 carbine that is the problem. The handle also has a coating which I am not a fan of. The construction otherwise is sturdy and it does work as a knife, but it’s use as a bayonet seems limited to me and my M1 carbine.

I was very surprised to find, on opening this knife, its level of quality......It has great heft, and it is SCARY Sharp.........Better not drop this on your foot......OUCH!The only detail I found wrong, was on the guard.....I have had an Original Imperial M3, and the slanted part of the guard was the same width as the rest of guard.......On this one, the guard tapers to a soft point in this area....(see photos).........It's not a big deal, I guess, but it is not an authentic detail....Other than that, this is a very nice piece.....could do some damage, for sure.......................

Handle was sticky and smelled funny.

My husband was extatic and completely satisfied. I loved the quick shipping.

It is actually a good knife. BUT IT ISNT A BAYONET. The attachment in the picture on the heel of the knife was not on knife when it arrived. It does not attach to a bayonet fitting.

Scabbard is Chinese green, not an American Olive Drab. Knife has absolutely no edge on it. Lots of sharpening required.
