For what it is and the price it is a very nice shift nob and is a huge difference from the stock feel. The only reason I would recommend spending a few dollars more and going with an adapter is so that you can change our shift knobs but if you’re looking for one to put on and never change again, this knob is great. adjustable height for preference. makes the throw feel shorter.

Super easy to install, looks amazing, doesn't get blazing hot on summer days, feels fantastic on my mk7 gti.

A really nice feeling shift knob that improves the stick shift feel a ton. However the finish seems pretty poor as I’ve had mine for less than 6 months and the lettering is faded and the matte finish is gone. I keep my interior super clean and never have dirty hands when I drive so it just seems to be a fault in the product.

Never too hot or cold! Shortens the throw a little in my MK6 (YES it works with the MK5 and MK6) though it's very obvious that it shortens the throw more in the MK7. Cut 1" off of your shift stalk and install this knob and it's the perfect combination or weight and throw distance. Pair it with a DGS6 and it shifts like the S2000!

Bought for my ‘16 golf r. Pretty easy installment. Didn’t give a four simply because took a couple times to get the mounting screws to hold. May just be inexperience on my part. Heavy, comparatively, and smooth. Liked that it has piece included that shows my shift pattern with reverse being up by first gear, mostly in case someone else needs to drive. I did research the whole thing about it being known to produce or emanate chems that may cause cancer. Seems to me this is in the case that the knob is in extreme heat it may produce certain gases, esp formaldehyde. Turns out that this temp is above what a car can reach sitting in the sun, at least in the U.S. So it’s safe.

Not as pictured. The shift knob has a insert for the shift pattern instead of being a 1 piece shift knob like the picture.It’s not flush either.The weight feels great when shifting, but it’s not as aesthetically pleasing as what’s pictured.Highly recommend buying COBB.
