Tastes great, no preservatives
The Kung Pao and Korean BBQ are great. The kung pao has a lot of sugar (so sad), real soy sauce, and a good amount of heat. Like the real thing, the korean bbq is a more subtle flavor. The pieces are thicker than many jerkies, and some are cooked more than others. If you want a very consistent texture or no chew, this wouldn't be your brand. If you want more interesting flavors than peppercorn and plain, this is definitely your brand.

This stuff is gross. Gag!!!
I really loved Golden Island pork jerky. I found it at Costco a few years ago. Then I couldn’t find it anymore, they had replaced it with Korean barbecue flavor, which I don’t care for at all. So I thought I would try the Kung Pao Beef Jerky. Both my husband and I gagged when trying it. It’s very spicy hot and not a good flavor. The piece I had was pure gristle, had to spit it out. Easily the WORST jerky I’ve ever had!!! Go back to your regular pork jerky Golden Island. Really ruined a good thing!

DO NOT BUY, COVERED IN MOLD
I bought 2 packs of Chili Lime and 2 packs of the Sriracha pork jerky. The Chili Lime was fine and tasted normal. I opened the bag of Srircha and it had a strange smell so I opened the other bag and it also smelled bad, I pulled some pieces out of each and they had mold all over them! I now notice that I'm not the only on that has had this issue after looking at the pictures on other reviews. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This is The Best Jerky!
This is by far the best pork jerky I’ve ever had! Actually the best jerky period!! It’s very hard to find in stores. I was getting it at my local Target, but sadly they stopped carrying it in store & online. I was getting it as a monthly subscription on Amazon, but was just notified that it is currently out of stock (in all forms) so I have a feeling that Amazon might not be supplying them anymore either. Which makes me extremely sad. Seems like every time I fall in love with a product, they stop making them or the stores aren’t stocking them anymore. But I highly recommend this item!!

Golden Island does it again!
I've had Golden Island's jerky from Costco before, and when I saw they had the Kung Pao flavor, I had to snag it. It is just amazing. Only downside is that I didn't get to thoroughly savor this because my boyfriend couldn't keep his hand off this jerkey!

Bad batch
This was always my favorite jerky and jerky flavor however the batch I received for all three packages was bad, more than have the batch was rock hard pieces of jerky when it’s usually very tender! I contacted the manufacturer and they resolved the issue and sent me a new package of jerky, I did however find out that this is a discontinued flavor and that could be why it was bad because its getting old.

So expensive but so tasty.
Sometimes Beef Jerky can be so dry and petrified. The perkiness with the Lime in this Jerky makes it a great change in pace.Very tasty and hard to stop.Expensive at almost $30 per pound... Wish Amazon would sell bigger bags of this stuff at better price. There is a brand called Perky Jerky sold at whole foods but they have NO PERKY flavors... dumb.
