☆EDIT: I have since played with an official play-doh compression tool and whilst it doesn't have the problem with the rough seams, it is much more difficult to get completely clean at the end of play. The Ucradle tool is much easier to clean and the different filters are basically the same as the official ones.☆When I first opened the packet I thought many of the smaller tools felt a bit thin and cheap compared with the tools that came in the official play-doh set. Some of the tools with handles seemed a bit flimsy. When we played with them they did a good job though. The thinness of the plastic give the doh a good sharp edge when cut. The main compression tool is fab and my kids absolutely loved it. It has a rough seam where the two halves have been joined together and quite a lot of doh has got stuck in this gap (see picture). Also, a lot of doh gets pushed out between the filter and the plunger.I am an adult and a bit of a perfectionist. If I were playing with this, it would annoy me a little bit. My kids are 2 and 4. They do not care. They absolutely love it. And that is all that matters.

I wanted a playdough press as my toddler enjoys playdough and we only had my full size rolling pin and the garlic press which wasn't ideal! This set has everything, a good selection of shapes with the cutters and moulds, and lots of disks for extrusion. Some are clearer shapes than others but they're all fun. The roller works well. My son particularly enjoyed pressing dough into the small moulds on the side of the press. I'm really impressed at the quality, everything feels very robust and will stand up well to small child! Details come out clearly. We've only used it with homemade playdough but I expect this set would work as well with commercial playdough. Definitely a good buy and real value for money.

I got this set my my friends children as they have a lot of play dough and love playing with it but are always arguing over the tools that came in the set.This set has everything they need and they need for pretend play. There is 30 pieces to the set so sometimes they use the press and make long spaghetti for dinner or the use the animal moulds which can, if you’re really carful getting the out can be stuck together to made a 3D shape. (Adults will probably be needed as this can be frustrating).The plastic equipment all seems to work well and unlike some they have had in the past this set seems to be quite strong.The only downside is the items only come in plastic bags no box so unless you do what I did open them and empty into a canvas sack it seems a miss as a present.They are a good buy and I’m sure will give hours of amusement.

I have loads of play dough tools but my 3 yo only seems to want to make noodles! I tried to buy an extruder on its own but I couldn’t find one. I settled on this product and I wasn’t disappointed! There are 4 different faceplates for the extruder so my son made noodles to his hearts content - he also used the cutters independently.The extruder can’t be pressed down by my toddler alone, a fair bit of pressure is needed to squeeze the dough through - but I have only tried it with quite a lot of dough. It may be easier to press with less dough, or if the dough was warmed up a little.Overall I’m really happy with it and would definitely recommend.

My little one, who is 20 months now, really enjoys playing with this. It is a calming activity, so great before bedtime. I think it gives him the satisfaction of creation. He is just really pleased with himself whenever he manages to create a teddy bear or a star. There is a great variety to the forms he can use. I looked at quite a lot of different tool kits before purchasing this one, and the main reason buying this was the number of tools he can use, as none of the other packages included this many different forms to play with. Great value for money and it is well made. No chances of him breaking any of them. Highly recommend.

My 4 year old loves this product. He had a similar one which was playdough branded and twice the price. On the face of it, this product doesn't look as well finished but certainly measures up as equal. The cutters are sharp enough to cut the dough but not little hands. The shape press works very well and unlike the playdough one isn't covered in crevices, meaning that this one is much easier to clean and prevent it from becoming covered in bits of dry dough.All in all, I'm very impressed with this product, well worth the money.

The media could not be loaded.  We bought this to occupy our 28 month old during lockdown 3 as she's shown more of an interest in moulding and creating things. I bought a set during the first lockdown, which actually made no sense to me, let alone her, and we ended up giving them to charity. After seeing the reviews for this set, we bought it and haven't regretted it. She's used it non-stop since it arrived. She loves the moulds especially and loves identifying which animals she's making. Best purchase we've made for her and there are tools included to help clean the crevices if any gunk gets stuck. Perfect.

Was a bit wary of purchasing a dough set which wasn’t from the famous brand but glad I did! The number of pieces you get for the prize is amazing and they are really solid. They have been thoroughly tested by a 2 year old for a few days now (who constantly wants to play with them).The dough press has several shapes that can be pressed and it is very sturdy. The other tools include pressed animals and tools for cutting and making marks on the dough (dough not included by the way). There are two tools to roll the dough out and several animal shapes for cutting out as well.My little one has already had hours of fun and no doubt hours more to come. I would highly recommend this and it is great value for the price!
