Good product, but bag was not sealed
Being this is now annual seedling time for my vegetable garden, I am finally able to use this CZ Garden Supply Organic Perlite. It seems to be a good product, as good as any other perlite I've used with my seedlings in the past. You should probably give it a light spray with water before working with it to moisten it and cut down on the dust. One thing of note is that although it was definitely a new bag, the bag was not sealed from the factory. Only the zip lock was holding the perlite from spilling all over during shipping.

med-fine
It's nice, multi-sized perlite, mostly on the finer side. However, it does a good job at lightning the potting soil. It mixes well with the soil and my plants appreciate it.

Great for mixing
This is a bag of pure perlite for container gardening. Perlite is an expanded form of a volcanic glass, so it is a natural substance. It retains both water and air, so it is great for lightening up potting soil mixes. You can use it in about a 1-3 mixture with peat or soil to add lightness and air spaces for your plants’ roots. This bag contains about 1 gallon of perlite, so that would be enough for about a 4-gallon container when mixed with other planting materials. The bag is made of heavy-duty plastic and is resealable. Country of origin is not listed on the label.I find this perlite works well for my plants. I have a container garden on my deck, so I really appreciate the way perlite adds volume to a potting mix without adding weight, and that the perlite also keeps my little roots well aerated. Perlite can be a lung irritant, so it’s good to wear a dust mask when working with this stuff. Overall, this is a good choice for container gardening.

Not exactly what I’d consider coarse, but it’s perlite lol
It’s a tad bit coarser than the kind you’d find in a gardening center, but not exactly what I’d consider coarse. There are some nice large, actually coarse, pieces sprinkled throughout the bag (you can see quite a few in my pic), but majority of the bag is the same grade that you’d find in store. Considering the price, the small size difference isn’t quite significant enough to make this product worth the money. If you’re looking for truly coarse perlite, I’d recommend order their XL coarse perlite; it comes in a smaller bag and is pricier, but you actually get coarse perlite!Overall, this product is fine if you’re looking for perlite, but I probably wouldn’t order it again.

Good soil additive
I am just learning about soil additives and to be honest thought that that white stuff you see in the soil you get from nurseries was styrofoam. I had no idea it was actually a type of volcanic rock (pyrite) that has been heated to over 1500 degrees in order to expand it from a dense black "glass" to a fluffy white growing medium. In this manifestation, perlite is like some of the other soil additives like coco coir or moss. I mainly used this as an additive for my raised beds and that has worked marvelously for all kinds of plants including tomato, sweet potato, and banana. At $11 a pop, this is a very good value too. This is a great package with the zip seal, which is nice if you're not going to use it all in one go. I've heard this is vital for rooting plant cuttings but I have not had success with that at all to my farming ancestors' shame.

Tiny pieces & Dust
This is completely useless. Out of the entire bag only a handful was of usable size. The rest was tiny 1 or 2mm micro pieces or dust. Avoid this brand.

I love this perlite!
I normally get big bags of perlite from the hardware stores. It drives me crazy because more than half of the bag is unusable dust. By the time I'm done sifting it I'm lucky if I'm left with 1/4 of the original bag. Aside from being a waste of money, it's very time consuming. That's why I love this bag so much! While there is some dust and small particles, it's nothing compared to the hardware store bags! I haven't had to sift it at all yet. I add it to cactus soil and use the mix for my succulents.Overall, I think this is a great quality bag of perlite. The bag may be a bit small, but it's full of large perlite pieces and has very minimal dust. Especially compared to the big hardware store bags that are more than half way filled with unusable product! I will be using this perlite from now on and would definitely recommend it!

No issues, does what it should
I used this here and there around the garden to lighten up heavy soils. It seemed to do what it should. No complaints
