Dragon Ball Z 2014 TCG Trading Card Game Starter Deck (Random Personality) DBZ

The classic card game that even went on to become a video game has finally returned! I remember when I got into this game it was when the Cell Saga set had come out but I was only 16 years old and I couldn't afford to buy myself the booster boxes or personality starter decks. I always wanted to get that Ultra Rare SSJ Vegeta Level 5! Because in my subjective opinion he was the best character in the show during that saga. Hopefully Panini will make Ultra Rare Main personalities for the following sets. But let me get down to reviewing this product. It captures the same essence that the old game captured. It offers multiple ways for making different strategies (Saiyan, Namekian, Black, Orange...etc..) so that you can achieve victory against your foe. Main Personalities from this starter deck come with a special treatment and are therefore made of higher quality materials, which makes them look mesmerizing. I already bought 2 and got Vegeta and Frieza Main Personalities. I recently bought 2 more and hopefully I will get any of the Personalities that I am missing such as Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin. You can get Captain Ginyu and Trunks Main Personalities from the individual booster packs from the first set that came out (2014 set). The second set (Heroes & Villains) booster packs have Nappa, Raditz, Tien, and Nail personalities. It goes without saying that this game and this product deserve a 5 star rating.

I bought 5 of these. Very happy with the purchase all 5 came in great condition. I got the Goku MP set I was after and Piccolo, Frieza, and Krillin. No Gohan or Vegeta though. Got all of the masteries but did not get Saiyan Empowered, that one eludes me. Also did not get Red Mastery. But overall very happy. Glad I got Goku :)

When package arrived it was smooshed or smashed even though luckily the cards were not bended it would have been 5 stars but with the delivery it was 4 stars but if nostalgic for the old dbd panini cards worth it

I only got three pairs of matches. I got some rares mostly commons and uncommons.

Came as promised, received 2 Goku personalities and 1 Frieza! My friends and I love playing and it brings back so many childhood memories! Definitely recommend for new players or as gifts for friends who love Dragonball Z!

Pros: Cards are of good quality, just like the original Score dbz game. Same backs, which is nice. The prism foils (comparable to the hi-tech foils) are awesome; twice the thickness with a high gloss finish. Unfortunately that's where the pros end. My main beef? The starter "deck" is 60 pre-set cards made up of all 6 styles. That's right, it doesn't come with a ready to play, legal deck. I bought 2 starter decks and was still unable to make a legal deck. Note the pre-set too: the 60 cards aren't random. Since I bought 2 decks, I now have doubles of each starter card. Not impressed by this. It comes with no freestyle cards at all. As a huge fan of the original game, I hope this isn't indicative of what's to come from Panini. I was really expecting a more beginner friendly, out-of-the-box product and it definitely isn't.

Received an entire Piccolo personality and half of Freeza. My son loves it!
