Linksys quality
Significant WiFi strength boost after upgrading to this unit. Works great and Linksys is one of the easier to setup and use products in my opinion. Download the Linksys app on your phone and manage your router right from the app.

Easy to Connect and FAST!!!
I was a bit skeptical about this modem because of the price, but it works great. Spectrum recommends this modem on their website for speeds up to 400 MBPS. I have the 200 MBPS plan from Spectrum, and this thing handles it perfectly. I have this paired with a Linksys 1750 router, and I get speeds of 250+ both on wired and wireless connections. No more buffering!!!

Great value for the money
We decided to cut our cable with Cox and go with Internet only. We returned to Cox modem and replaced it with this. The results were great. No degradation in performance and the modem is mine to keep.If you are renting a cable modem - STOP - give a modem like the Linksys a try.

Not worth it
I thought Linksys was a respected brand, but I don't see why. I have tried 2 of these modems so far and they can't perform the basic task of staying connected. Over the course of 3 days, I monitored over 60 random disconnections, using Comcast/Xfinity, with which this is supposed to be compatible. This modem is also very massive, which I don't see a reason for given it is a paper weight. When I go back to my old motorola Sb6141 I don't have any problems, other than the fact that it's not rated for my connection speed. This modem is supposed to be able to handle my connection, but it doesn't seem to even be recognized with Xfinity service.

Wish done this long time ago
I have problem with the modem supplied to me from Spectrum, every-time when my inverter dropped the voltage below 110V, the modem reboot, during the day when the sun is out, no problem, get into the evening, when kids are home, the inverter voltage go down about 10% like when the heavy appliance kick on (sump pump, freeze, refrigerate) the modem reboot, I bought this one, after couple attempt to get the modem register, I give up, I actually request to return this item back to Amazon, so I call the Spectrum, they come, they ran all test, they did not found what wrong with my line, so I told the service man and his supervisor go ahead register this modem, and get what, I wish I did this long time ago, I got this running for (3) months now, not a single reboot, the speed it very good, kids are happy

Works as advertised
It's hard to be fully test a cable modem, you'll need a lab with some network testing equipment for that. From my perspective, if I can get the speed my internet provider says I should be getting and if the device doesn't fail for no apparent reason then I'm fine, which is the case here. I bought this to replace a CM3008 which is a model in the same family of devices that is designed for a little slower speed. The CM3008 is MUCH smaller compared to this device here and it seems like a lot of the device casing is actually empty but I'm sure they had a reason for building bigger even if some of the real estate is not really used. It's still a pretty compact device though. Installation is very easy, this time I didn't actually go into the device interface, I just connected and called my provider to activate, it was working fine after a few minutes on the phone with them. With the price I paid and the fee they charge for their modem, the modem will pay for itself in less than 6 months. I highly recommend to stop paying providers the $10 or whatever fee a month they charge for putting their own equipment. In a year, that's $120! You can buy the top of the line cable modem for this price.

IMPORTANT: Buyer Alert
I'm giving the product three stars because the product works fine. The buyer alert is from the fact that it is refurbished. The modem was not unregistered from the previous XFINITY account that it was on so COMCAST basically won't help me with any problems because they say the modem really doesn't belong to me. They said they can't move it to my account even if I show them proof of purchase. Might be a good deal but you might not get the service you need. I am going to try to return it even though I purchased it eight months ago.

Works perfectly
So I'm being asked for a rating for "WiFi signal", this is a modem, there is no router in this device. I called Comcast Xfinity and they were able to activate this modem. It is now working perfectly. I consider this modem a good value since it is reconditioned and is priced accordingly.
