Happy with product
I just got my pouf today. The estimated time for delivery supposed to take 3 more days but it got here early which is the plus. The pouf itself is leather , good quality and yes it is have the leather kind of smell but it is not strong at all. You really need to put your nose close to it like an inch to smell it. The color is so rich and just like in the product picture online. The whole pouf I can confirm that it is handmade for sure and it is professional one.Only one complain is I didn’t know at first that this product is only the outer part and I have to fill the inside pouf by myself. But in the box they do have some kind of manufactured kind of thing to explain it. So it is fine for me. I filled the pouf with the old clothes and it is all sets and it is perfect. For the size it is just correct size for me to use as ottoman and in the same time could be stool. I’m very happy with my purchase. Also, FYI -I just saw this same pouf selling right now at Westelm for $299 but I think that might be the ready filled one. Anyway this is much better save A LOT of money!

Edited
I was weary buying this product since so many other reviews mentioned the smell being unbearable. I noticed a smell but not exactly the “barn” smell others mentioned. It smelled more like the stain or oils used to dye the leather. Honestly I could have been able to live with the smell I hung it up in the garage and even only after a few hours it seemed to have aired out. The biggest issue for me was that it seemed like the die was still wet, the box it came in was oil stained from the pouf and I noticed that it left dye on my hands. Definitely not ok to keep it it’s staining everything it’s touching!Edited: the customer service was actually really incredible for this product. I was refunded and had the item replaced. It was shipped very promptly and the replacement is in much better shape than the original I was sent. I am changing my one star rating to a four because of this.

Well Made, Stylish, and Far Less Than What You'd Pay at RH
I was looking for a smaller pouf-style ottoman and thought this looked a lot nicer than some of the Indian style sari poufs. The goat leather used to make these is of good quality, the zipper at the bottom of the cover is very sturdy, and the stitching used is very thick. I bought some cheap standard/queen pillows to use as stuffing rather than polyfill or old clothes. I used 6 and have waffled on whether or not I need a 7th, as the firmness is close to ideal for me.As others have mentioned in their reviews, stuffing the sides and then the middle of the cover might be the best approach in terms of ease and evenness. Additionally, the quality in comparison to what you might see in the RH magazine or showroom is the same, but this is considerably less. The RH alternative to this Moroccan pouf does not have the bottom zipper, so it's not user-refillable and costs at least twice as much depending on what you spend for filler.Lastly, the leather smell is present, but is very mild. It's part of the tanning process used to make leather goods. If you want something synthetic (and in my mind inferior), go ahead, but this is a great quality product.

Love, love, love my pouf!
Recieving this was the highlight of my day! It is beautiful, seemingly durable and easy to stuff. I save old pillows so I used either 5 or 6 of them to stuff it. First, I lined the sides and then stuffed the center. I would then sit on it a few times to squish it down so I could make room for another pillow because I wanted mine to be firm. There was no smell I detected as some reviews mentioned. Maybe there is a mild leathery smell. Now the person (usually one of my kids) who sits in the middle seat of my two recliner couch has a foot rest too.

Beautiful Piece - Just 2 different sizes
So as described these came unstuffed. However, I read others reviews and people mentioned old clothes and old towels to fill them with. But, I had neither - Such a dilemma :-). Another reviewer stated they filled theirs with 10lbs of "Poly-Fil". So that is what I decided to buy. I found a great deal at the Local Jo-Ann Fabrics for 2lb bags. So I purchased 10 bags. So I would have 5 bags (10lbs) for each Ottoman. Well the 1st one took all 5 bags and it is nice & Firm like I wanted. The second is also nice & firm. However, it only handled 3 bags (6 lbs). It is smaller in diameter than the other.I am not very happy about this. However, is it enough to return? No. But, it is enough to recommend that people not order 2 if you want looking to have a matching set.I wish the pics could accurately depict the difference in size. However they are beautiful. But be forewarned they may be different sizes if you order more than 1.I hope the seller reads this and understands this is not ok.However, as you can see the leather is beautiful and so is the design. It is exactly, in design, what I was wanting. There is a odor but not pungent - just needs to sit in the back hall for a night & it will be fine.Additonal note: if you want a softer poof simply add less Poly-Fil.Hope this helped

Fantastic value. How to quickly remove odour.
This is one of my best purchases on Amazon. It came with a strong odour.Unzip it and place a cup of baking soda with 12-20 drops of your favourite essential oil inside (I used orange essential oil). Zip it up and keep it overnight. If you don't have baking soda, use a couple of paper towels with essential oil.The inside odour will have mostly dissipated. Then stuff it with whatever you choose. I lined the sides with old clothes and the inside with plastic bags full of shredded paper, then topped it with more clothes. The other one currently holds extra pillows. Old clothes + shredded paper gives the necessary comfort and firmness without being too heavy.Once it is stuffed, wipe down the outside with leather cleaner and conditioner with a few more drops of essential oil. I use Bick 4 (it does not discolour the leather or stitching) with orange essential oil. It is easier to apply the conditioner/cleaner when the pouf is full. After a few hours of applying the product there is no odour, plus it makes the leather more supple.

Lovely quality
I brought this a bit on a whim but glad I did . Quality is lovely and it looks really good . Just make sure you have plenty to stuff it with old towels, softer materials have worked out fine but. It takes quite a lot

Marrakesh Gallery Moroccan Pouf
Well made pouf. Comes flat packed so you need to stuff it yourself, I used old pillows and an old double quilt.

It's EMPTY and VERY Expensive
Was for my lounge.Am disabled and missed the small print. These come EMPTY so you have to spend MORE on filling.Which makes them VERY expensive maybe £10 worth at best.

Beautiful pouf, great customer service.
The pros: The poof is beautiful. Real leather with gorgeous cream coloured stitching. I like that the brown isn’t one consistent colour throughout which gives it more of a rustic look—like an old baseball mitt. It doesn’t come with stuffing but I just used old blankets and the plastic air balloon things that cone with amazon packaging and it works fine, though I should stuff it better as it’s a little lopsided (but that’s my fault). The con: maybe it’s the chemical they tanned the leather with but there was a very strong chemical like odour for the longest time that I kept the pouf outside to air out on my balcony for over a week. Can’t remember how long now but maybe 10 or so days? If you left it inside the whole room would smell like the chemical. Tip: turn it inside out a few days to help air out faster. I even rubbed it with water and vinegar which I think helped. Sone of the stitching by the zipper unraveled when I turned it inside out so I had to restrict it myself. Not a big deal. I contacted customer service and there were very responsive and helpful and even sent me a new pouf because of my experience! 5 stars for them! The extra pouf took a whole to come because it was being shipped from so far away but it was still a much appreciated gesture.Good news, the chemical smell is now gone and it just a nice soft smell of leather remains which is only noticeable if you put your nose up to the pouf.I’d recommend this pouf but maybe keep it in your garage for a few days if you experience sone tying similar.
