The 6" is key, it will hold your 1/2" poly line perfect, I even used it to hold down some weed cloth that was loose before barking , I have bought these again

I bought these as an alternative to digging a trench around my garden. There were enough stakes to create an overlapping, 6 inch deep, underground border around my 10 ft x 20 ft garden. I was able to place the stakes through the bottom rung of the chicken wire fence and hammer them into the ground. Not only does this help deter animals from trying to lift up the fence, but it also deters animals from digging underneath the fence. I ran into a few rocks underground, which bent the stakes as I tried to pound them in, but I either repositioned the stake or determined the rock was too big and left the stake in place, but bent from the rock. Overall, this was much easier than trenching around the perimeterof the garden and burying the fence. Only time will tell if it was as effective, but it's worked so far this season.

These seem quite sturdy, but I haven't had a chance to use them. The 16 day timeframe between ordering and receipt allowed me to find another option.

I used these anchors to keep my soaker hoses in place In an area 20’x20’ that I was going to plant Saint Augustine plugs. Ground was very hard and I had to dig down 6 inches deep. This eliminated me from using the plug cutter tool that the majority people use. I am not strong enough. I laid the soaker hose in a snail type pattern and the anchors work great. The anchors are reusable. I will need them because I have soaker hoses in other gardens. After soaking for three days I pulled up the anchors with no problem. Planting 108 plugs was a piece of cake. I

I use polypropylene for patio material with wet newspaper underneath and use these pins to hold it down. Amazon sells poly in rolls in colors. Mine is green. Easy to add to. Pins come up when needed to add to it and then put back. I had a half open shed built with grass inside, I just put wet newspaper (doesn't fly away) and poly over it and you can easily sweep it off, rain, water, dirt doesn't hurt it or get it dirty. No mildew, like concrete. Water goes through it. Poly is also good to hang up for shade. I am never without pins.

Got these to hold down 3/4" irrigation tubing; they work great and once stuck in the ground they stay. It made laying the plastic hose so easy! Will also use these to peg my climbing roses; they will work so much better than sticks. They are heavy and galvanized so don't have to worry about them rusting out in a couple of years. Highly recommend.

We use these in our Master Gardener demonstration gardens and are very pleased with them. The tips are just sharp enough to pass through any soil as well as landscape fabric and row cover. Also really good to hold down irrigation drip tape. I often find old ones buried in mulch and they are in good shape and put back into use.
