Realm of Thrones CAPTAIN Ergonomic Office Chair, Metal Base Heavy Duty Home Office Mesh Desk Chair with Flip-up Armrests, Saddle-inspired Seat Cushion, Adjustable Lumbar Back Support/Headrest (Black)

Ordered two of these chairs for colleagues who managed to fit together with ease. They are easy to adjust for height, lumbar, head position and of a strong construction. First words from one was 'these chairs are excellent, taken away my back ache' now wants another one for home use!I am now looking to purchase two more.

I bought this chair back in August 2023. On sitting on it at full height, it did not give me the height I needed for my desk (the gas cylinder with the chair is only 6"). This had been reported by another customer, but I thought I would see. I reached out to RoT's, who were helpful and advised I could buy an 8" gas cylinder to get the height I required. I bought the cylinder they recommended. However, on trying to remove the already installed cylinder, I had to beat this it out of the chair chassis with great difficulty (a known problem and RoT's were going to produce a tool later in the year to help customers get the cylinder out more easily). This hammering to get the cylinder out, as well as placing a different gas cylinder (twice - long story) affected the chair chassis and RoT's said they would send me a new one out. I never heard back from them. Fast forward to June 2024, the chair is broke. It wobbles and creaks and groans, with a bit of plastic fallen out from somewhere. I reached out to RoTs again (as there is an alleged five-year warranty with the chair), but the email bounced back. I could not find them anywhere on the Internet and had to reach out to Amazon, who have very kindly offered to refund me for the chair. It has been very disappointing as this chair is very comfortable, but please be warned that if you want to buy this chair, check the height that you need. It is certainly not for a tall person. Also, it seems that Realm of Thrones as a business no longer exists.Update: 30/06/2024: Since posting my review, I have received an email from Realm of Thrones. It seems that there was a problem with their server and my email was not getting through to them (hence it was being bounced back to me). They have been very understanding and helpful with the issues I have experienced and have kindly offered me a replacement chair, which apparently is an upgraded version to the one I had bought and with extra height. Can I recommend this chair - yes - it is one of the most comfortablest office chairs I have purchased that provides excellent lumbar support, cushioned, waterfall seat, and is solidly built. The customer service support has been excellent.

Purchased this for daily WFH use. For two years it's been great. It's been comfortable and effective. There was an issue with the seat eventually snapping, but the manufacturer was pro-active and willing to remedy the part. To their credit, customer satisfaction and the best possible product is their genuine goal.The aspects of the chair are great. These are my observations after two years:- The wheels roll freely still- The lumbar support is still very comfortable- The headrest is very strong, and hasn't become 'looser'. It's not easier than it was to adjust it which is a good thing- Competitor's chairs have arms that don't last, these still work as new- Tilt adjustment works as it should. I've seen reviews commenting that it's fiddly, but I've had no issue. It does take leaning forward to disengage the lock, but that's no problem.- The seat base was an issue, but as mentioned, the manufacturer displayed a genuine will to satisfy the customer and improve the product. Issues can happen with young products and it's something Reign of Thrones has improved. I can't fault this; It sets a high bar for their competitors.- The updated seat on this product appears to be reinforced and much stronger, so the issue won't reoccur👉 the photo is new, taken of the chair after the new part was fitted.A worthy 5-star review.

The chair arrived in a large box which was reassuringly heavy. The assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow. It took around 15minutes to assemble. Once assembled the height of the headrest and lumbar support can be adjusted for optimum comfort. The best feature for me is that the armrests can be folded upwards and out of the way, which makes it an ideal chair for practicing/recording guitar/bass.Update 1: One of the reasons I bought this chair was the five years warranty. After eleven months of use, the gas lift now sinks down when sitting on the chair, and the plastic base has suddenly developed a large crack next to one of the wheels.Update 2: After contacting the vendor I received a new gas lift unit (plus removal tool) and a replacement metal base which appears to be much sturdier than the original plastic one and looks great in a chrome finish. My chair is now as good as new (or even better than when it was new). The support from the vendor is very impressive, responding to messages quickly and courteously, and getting the replacement parts to me quickly.
