Identical to the original and works better than the original. Purchased this product to replace one that water somehow got into.

Best part is it's not expensive. I saw this item on another site and it was twice as much in price.

This will fit although in an awkward position to install although it's not important how good it fits. After a month of use (maybe 5 times) it sparks occasionally not consistently as it should. I checked the battery, with my volt meter, and it reads 1.57 volts so it isn't the trouble. Hopefully the Mfg. will contact me to remedy the problem. I'll report at a later date.

I originally needed the cap more than the unit itself so it stuck around on my shelf for a while. The cap worked beautifully. Finally the old igniter failed so I reached onto shelf to replace it with this one. Fourth of July in my very own hands. This unit sends sparks across each of the rear plug connections with more power than to any of the electrodes. If you get near the unit it zaps you while pressing the button. God help you if you have any small gas leak in the propane tanks. This baby might blow up the whole grill in your face. It has more than enough power(because it hurts) to spark the electrodes but it would prefer to jump across each connection on the back instead. DANGER WILL ROBINSON, DANGER

This is the third time I have replaced mu grill igniter in the past 22 years so I know exactly what I was getting. The igniters get a lot of use year round on my back patio next to the swimming pool, in Arizona. Plus they get a lot of heat from the intense sun from May through September when high temperatures frequently are above 110 degrees for 4-5 hours daily. Their lifespan is shorter than most other places, so I recognize that I will have to replace the unit periodically. It is a quick and easy replacement (5-10 minutes) and no tools are required.
