Purchased as a gift for a 2 yr old. The hide and.seek pages are cute.

This is a cute story about a mother fish looking for her little fish in the ocean and finding different sea creatures along the way. Probably too many words on one page to read for kids who don't have a long attention span, but my nephew enjoys it. The felt flaps are glued on tightly and better than other felt flap books I've purchased in the past.

Wonderful illustrations. My little girl however is rough and tough and has already torn this book apart at 18 months old.

This book is interactive. the wording is a little long so the attention span might not be the best for the book.Great story and has felt flaps.

The other reviews warned about the wordiness of the book, and they were not wrong. While my 2 year old loves looking for little fish, we have a hard time reading it word for word as is. We basically make up our own story and lift the flaps and that’s that. I think a 3 year old would sit through the words, but my issue is that even though it’s written in verse, the cadence is all over the place. So it’s hard to fall into a rhythm reading this book. My 5 and 8 year old don’t love it bc of this. If the cadence were consistent, I probably would’ve given it another star. But there are far superior books out there with the same felt flap idea. And even more still with excellent verse.
