works but can't control from head unit
does what it is support to do. only bad thing is you have to use the iPod or iPhone to switch tracks etc..good thing is it keeps charging what you have plugged in.

It works good.
The only thing it does not do that I thought it would is it doesn't let my phone calls come through the stereo, I don't know if that is a limitation of my Kenwood deck, the cable or my iPhone...

KENWOOD Din Cable to Apple iPod Interface KCA-IP500
I hooked this up to my Kenwood KDC-MP242 because it does not have a USB port. This cable did not charge my 4th gen iPod touch. I should have just bought a new head unit with USB built in!

This cable works.
This cable does what it says. I was worried that it would not charge my iPod but it does that. The music sounds great through the radio system. It will play music on my IPhone 4S but will not charge it while plugged in. So I will use the iPod when using this on my boat. O
