i just got it today after desperately needing smth to keep my cool at night. i just moved in w someone who keeps the house much warmer than i would. ive been having to sleep w the ceiling fan and and extra fan right next to the bed And 1 or 2 ice packs wrapped in a sheet to keep me cool enough to fall and stay asleep. i don't mind the ice packs, theyre quite nice and u can move them around to where u feel the most warm but i needed a blanket that wouldn't be too hot when i did want smth to cover up w. per the instructions u are supposed to wash and dry (a specific way) before use, which i haven't done yet. but ive been sitting w it for a while and it is definitely cooling. not as much as i thought, but maybe thats bcus i haven't washed it yet. i really wanted to use it tonight but it needs to air dry, and im impatient. i can already tell, even if its not as cooling, itll be nice to sleep w. just from sitting w it, u can tell its v breathable and u can feel air come through it. also, itsays after u wash it it will get softer so, pre wash, its not rough or uncomfortable, but if a wash will make it softer then ill do it. i just noticed that it is cool to the touch slighty, which i think is a good sign of its quality. ill write updates once ive washed, dried, and used it for a few nights. but as for now, i don't regret buying it. Update: i hand washed it in the tub and all was good. i let it air dry for abt 5 hours before i got impatient and start doing research to see if i could put it in the dryer although the instructions say not to. between the other reviews here and stuff i saw online i gave in and put it in the dryer on air fluff, with no heat. first for 20 mins which didn't do a ton. then i put it in for 40 mins no heat. i used low heat on a gentle cycle for abt 20 mins checking it often so it didn't get too warm. after one last 20 min cycle w no heat it was v slightly damp so i let it finish air drying while i slept. so total i air dried for abt 10-11 hours, in the dryer on no heat for 60-80mins, and low heat dried for 20. i assume it would take probably a full 24 hours to air dry if thats all u did but from my experience its fine in the dryer as long as its on no heat, or if any, low heat and not for long periods of time. im gonna sleep w it tonight and see if its good enough to replace the ice packs ive been using haha

Many years ago my family bought me a very thin, but not sheet, blanket and I always use it for summer because its pretty extreme where I live. I have been searching for YEARS for a suitable spare/replacement with no luck. UNTIL NOW. The color is a bit lighter than the product images but still a very soft alice blue. Taking it out of the package it was larger than expected and weighed more than I thought it would. X"D HOWEVER Upon unfolding it I found out this blanket was huge! And the weight unfolded is negligible The blanket is very thin, but it doesn't feel cheap or like your fingers will go through it. Very good quality! There was a very light factory/new blanket smell on it. But after washing it went away. I washed it cold on Delicate with a small amount of vinegar to preserve color. I DID use washer and dryer dispute instructions. Dryer was put on the mid/lower setting of the Delicate cycle as well. Blanket survived without incident and is still very big and soft. :D I'm ready for summer! <3

I’m one of those people who needs to have a cover in bed, even in hot weather. A sheet works fine, but I saw this blanket and it looked more comfortable, and it is. Looking at other reviews about shrinkage as well as the washing directions that came with the blanket, I washed it and air dried it before using. I’ve been sleeping under it for just over a week. As others have said, when it’s wet and hanging to dry, it has a stiff feel to it, but once it’s fully dry, it becomes super soft, cool to the touch, and it feels great against the skin. So here’s the rub—I’ve only been using it a week, and everyday I’m clipping threads that have come loose. It’s not just 1-2 either, it’s all over the blanket. I’m afraid by the end of a month, I’ll have holes in it. I’ll try to remember to come back and update. Update: It’s getting hot so brought my blanket out for the second summer. I clipped the loose threads off and there haven’t been many more. I still love the blanket and am glad I bought it.

Love this blanket! Fortunately for me, my washing machine has a hand wash cycle and my dryer has a delicates cycle. I cannot imagine washing the blanket by hand as per the instructions included with it It is really too large to do that easily. (The care instructions were in English...so I fully understood I was not caring for the blanket properly). The size stayed consistent after laundering using the special cycles. The lightweight bamboo weave is very comfortable until the temps reach the nineties—when nothing is comfortable. At more reasonable temperatures a light fluff of the blanket helps the user to enjoy a slightly cooler effect from the blanket. On cool nights you’ll probably want a warmer blanket, because this was not designed to ward off a chill. If you are like me, and enjoy being covered up even in warm weather, this is a great way to be covered and yet not melted from the additional heat of a blanket. It is perfect to cover up in on the couch in pjs. My one disappointment is that it does get small pulls in the fabric rather easily (perhaps due to my not hand washing it). Despite the pulls, it seems to be holding up well, I am very pleased with this purchase!

I can’t even explain how much I’m in love with this blanket. I also ordered cooling sheets set here on Amazon and both together feels amazing. I need to be freezing when I sleep so I can burrow but during Texas heat and having the AC on the opposite side of the house makes my nights miserable. I’ve been able to sleep since I got this. It’s crazy how it makes me feel cuddles but not hot at the same time. Even just alone the blanket is perfect. Only downside is taking care of it. I have to be careful to not get anything stuck on it because it’ll rip easily if you’re not careful. It’s fine if it’s just me but my dog, cat, and kid are not allowed on it because it’s so fragile. You also have to hand wash it with cold water and air dry it inside. It fits my entire king size bed. Pretty big blanket to be hand washing if you ask me. But, even so, I love it and will probably order another if anything happens to this one.

REVISED REVIEW: For the most part, I still enjoy this blanket, based on the same characteristics in my first review. I am writing today to first, reduce my star rating from 5 to 3, and second, to explain why. The blanket is still soft, cool, and very comfy. However, I’ve had it less than three months and it has pilled like no other blanket I’ve ever owned. Without regular fabric shavings, it looks ratty and old, which is frustrating when one considers that I bought what I thought was a high quality, definitely-not-inexpensive bamboo blanket in December, but it looked terrible after a mere seven weeks. I have to shave the blanket twice a week just to keep it presentable. For the record, the blanket is not subjected to a lot of wear and tear. It spends days folded at the end of my bed, and nights covering just me, where there is no friction with other linens. The color is also notably different from the photo; it’s truly a lovely shade, but if you’re going for exact matches, this one is more of a robin egg blue. One last issue is the fact that it tangles very easily with literally everything. A hangnail can do a lot of damage. I definitely don’t recommend allowing animals or kids on it, unless you’re good with it having pulls, pills, and tangles. The Takeaway: It’s still a very comfortable, very pretty blanket. I use it nightly and shave it often. I wash it solo, hang it to dry. It’s a great weight and does have a cool essence, but it won’t be pretty for long if you aren’t committed to regular, quality, fabric care. *** I’m completely in love with this blanket! I live in Costa Rica, where the climate is very diverse. This blanket has kept me cozy in the cool, damp mountain weather, but also keeps me from getting overheated. I’m one who has to sleep with something on me, even in warm weather. This blanket has been absolutely perfect in keeping me cool enough with its breathable bamboo viscose fabric. I’m definitely buying more than one!

I love this cooling blanket. It feels amazing, especially when I'm having hot flashes. It isn't magical--I still get hot flashes but it feels good on me when I am hot and sweaty. Two thumbs up; highly recommend.

I was a little hessitant at first... the blanket is actually a little thicker than a sheet however it is very lightweight and breathable. The first night I used it, I don't think I felt much of a differnce... however, by the second night I could definately feel a difference. My mom leaves the ac thermostat set very high at night and makes it pretty unbearable to sleep... I can tell that this "blanket" makes a huge difference and now I can tolerate the warm sleeping environment. So I anyone out there needs a little help with sleeping in a warm environment I would highly recommend giving this "blanket" a serious try. I has really improved my sleep quality and I hope it would yours as well.

Maybe it suite 4-seasons country. It doesn't suite tropical warm and humid weather.
