Good product
My cat is prone to hairballs, this stuff helps him out by making him get less hairballs.

IT WORKS !
This is a very good product for felines. The flavor is palatable and my cat takes it willingly. I have tried other brands and they did not work as well as this one.

My cat has stopped puking all the time
I’ve been using this for a couple months now after I searched for a product that would help my long-haired cat stop puking all the time. She’s pretty with flavors so I was surprised when she loved eating it straight from the tube. That didn’t last very long so I began putting about a 1 inch line in her food and she eats it right up with no issues. She’s officially stopped puking all the damn time which means I’m not stepping in it anymore! I have noticed if I go a week without giving it to her, the vomiting will appear again. So I’m fine with her being on it for life if need be. Only thing I dislike is the price. A tube usually costs around $3.99. I used to purchase tubes of it for that price. I’m not a fan of the price increase. Please bring the original price back. Other than that, this product is bussin.

My kitty won't take this voluntarily and he doesn't care for the taste of it, BUT...
Maks is a medium haired Siberian-mix and his hairballs had suddenly gotten waaaay out of control, having gone from zero to 2 or 3 of those disgusting little rolled up cigar-shaped things every DAY. We'd already made the switch to hairball-control formula food about a year ago so obviously THAT wasn't working, so we needed to try something else. (This is where the internet and Amazon always come in so handy!)I put a dab on his paw. Still nothing. Rather than licking it off, he managed to get this one tiny little dab all over his fur, the furniture...every where. And believe me, this is NOT the kind of thing you want everywhere. It sort of reminds me of molasses. I tried lots of things to introduce him to it, but there was no getting him to take it on his own...even on his favorite treats. So I dispensed about 3/4" on my finger and I told Maks this is just the way it is. I opened his little cat-mouth and in it went. 3/4" on my finger and into Maks' mouth. It's like a MIRACLE-PRODUCT! No diarrhea, his bowel habits remain completely unchanged. The only difference is no more hairballs. He's a somewhat feisty little guy so I always tell him every day when it's time for his medicine so I don't catch him by surprise. I open his mouth and usually try to wipe it inside his cheek if I can. I don't think he hates the taste as much as he dislikes the texture of it in his mouth. (It's very, VERY sticky.) He's inadvertently turned his head at the last second and when he does, it's a HUGE mess but so far, so good.SO even tho he definitely is NOT one of those who readily takes this stuff, the rewards have been worth it and we are both happy campers!!! >^..^<UPDATE:Well, time went on and my little feisty one started liking my administering his hairball gel less and less. He began turning his head more & more (what a MESS!), then hiding when I approached, and finally it had gotten to the point when he'd bolt out of the room at top speed when he saw me coming. It actually began to change our relationship to a certain extent! He was wary ANY time I came near him...he was always looking to see what I might have in my hands.Yeah, well THIS we couldn't have.So we had to find another solution...and fast. I'm happy to report that we are now using Nutri-Vet Hairball SALMON Flavor Paw-Gel (keyword: Salmon) with GREAT of success. Maks LOVES this stuff! He BEGS for it (literally...like a dog!) sitting up on his hind legs while he laps it up either directly out of the tube or off my finger. I've also put it as a (kind of whipped-cream!) topper on his dry food...I think he'd have this ANY which way he could. He thinks it's a treat and comes running... it's hilarious...my other two (a dog and another kitty who doesn't get hairballs) are TOTALLY jealous because they think Maks is getting a treat while they are being overlooked! It's a lighter, airier texture and it has no malt (which I think might be the key here). Downside is we have to use it twice a day versus using Dechra Cat Lax only once a day.So not to hijack the Dechra Cat Lax review area here...Dechra Cat Lax was SO incredibly EFFECTIVE (probably more so than the NutriVet Hairball since I have to remember to give him the NutriVet Hairball 2x a day!) it's just that Maks would not tolerate it. If your cat tolerates Dechra, I'd tell you to stick with that...it really IS wonderful stuff. If your cat does not tolerate the Dechra Hairball however, you may want to give thought to going the direction I did...
