I have a model before 1998 - ignore the instructions that come with the remote, and look it up on YouTube. It's SUPER easy - you just push the button on the opener (on the roof of the garage), it blinks, push the remote button, and it's programmed. If you search for "program universal remote old genie" or something to that effect you'll find some good videos. **Q: Does it work with overhead door legacy 800 model 2026?** A: Sorry, overhead door legacy 800 model 2026 is belong to Intellicode II technology. It is not compatible. If the frequency of your original remote is 390Mhz, and the original remote type is GIT-1/ACSCTG Type1/ACSCTO Type1, it should be compatible with your garage door opener.(NOT work for remote with dip switches). **Q: Does it work with Genie model 2042?** A: If your original remote control type is ACSCTG GIT-1 Type, and the frequency is 390MHZ, then it will work. **Q: How do you clear the memory of this specific garage door opener?** A: You erase the memory in the motor unit hanging in the garage. Don't think you can wipe the coding in the remote. ## Frequently Bought Together - datonten Replacement Garage Door Opener Remote,Compatible with Genie Garage Door Opener ACSCTG Type 1,390MHZ,2 Pack - Genie Garage Door Opener Wireless Keyless Keypad - Safe & Secure Access - Compatible with All Genie Intellicode Garage Door Openers - Easy Entry into the Garage With a PIN - Model GK-R, White - Garage Door Sensor GSTB-R STB-BL, Replacement for Genie/Overhead Garage Door Sensors, Garage Sensor for Genie Garage Door Openers Manufactured After 1993.
