TIROAR SX244DA Lateral Assembly with Center Pipe Replacement for Hayward Sand Filter

Works as described and seems to be of good quality. I originally bought the part from Hayward, the OEM. It arrived with a sloppy glue job where the vertical pipe was cemented to the lateral assembly and some of the glue had dripped down sealing one of the laterals in the vertical position. Amazon had another one sent to me. I installed it and it was fine for about one week. Then, a little sand began appearing in the pool. It continuously got worse over the next several months, so I replaced it with this unit. It seems to be as good or better quality than the OEM. I installed it and so far no problems.

I am impressed. My original Hayward part cracked. Money was tight that month, so I took a chance on this less expensive item. The difference I put into glass "sand". This works perfectly. Only time will tell if it lasts the 20 plus years the one I replaced lasted. I have no reason to believe it won't.

Fit perfectly and was as good as original equipment, at a fraction of the price.

I replaced these and it was easy to assemble and it should go another 10 years.

Easy to install

I ordered this part before removing and measuring the old one since the site does not list models it fits the one I ordered was too short. I did a fix by adding more verticle pipe - a real pain, but I could not wait to get another one. Be sure to find HP schematic of your model, note the length of the vertical pipe before ordering!!!! Make sure it matches, my error, but you want to avoid this. The product was a good one otherwise and easy to install after we added pipe and cut the collar of the distribution valve to accommodate the coupler needed to get a longer vertical pipe. Good repairing....

This worked perfect. This part was under warranty but company I bought filter from was dragging their feet. Bought this and it worked perfectly to fix pool in the heat of summer.
